“Leave Tom Brady Alone.” –DT

Today's Tids Issue 3,581
Opening Stuff:

I shudder. I have to vote in a primary today.

Most of the Brady haters will take the new decision in the ongoing silliest, overly expensive NFL self-aggrandizing mission as reaffirming the besmirching of a great QB’s reputation. But it had absolutely nothing to do with Brady. It was simply a judgment on the labor contract clause that gives the Commish full punitive powers against players he deems to have wronged his organization. As the Chief Judge of this NY Appeals courts said, “The ruling reaffirms the Commissioner’s power, a power that wronged one man.” But! -- Now, many NFL team execs are coming forward after the new realization that Roger can “do whatever he wants and we are powerless to stop him.” Also, the new cat out of the bag is that many Pat’s-hating execs are now saying the main objective of “Deflategate was to “nail” Owner Kraft, and that Brady was an unfortunate casualty in their envy driven war against the all winning Pat owner, secretly despised, it has now been revealed, by several powerful owners. What a mess. Billionaires still sucking on their Blankies!

I’m falling in love with Christian Vazquez.

I love to contemplate the mysteries of the English language. A reader sent in this: “Yes, English can be weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.” Smiling?

The Question:
What is the name of the 16 year old girl who has been called “The Female Paul Revere?” Bonus: What governor in which state in what year signed the bill that legally created Same-Sex Civil Unions?

In case you don’t have enough to worry about, USA Intelligence chiefs are saying we should expect to see an ISIS/al-Qaida terror effort in the US before Elections.

There is a theory floating around that there are a lot of the proverbial soccer moms who will be voting for Trump but are embarrassed to declare in front of friends.

After enjoying some scuba, and basking in Aruba over his triumph with Cuba; saluted by a brass band with a tuba, Obama may next plan to liberate Juba, or try to learn Luba.

Picking the best talent on The Voice is about as senseless as picking the best person for presidency. In the new America it isn’t about quality but about orgasmic emotions…how a boy’s blue eyes  connect with you young teen girls hearts. How a candidate reaches in and grabs your guts. (Oh, wait a minute, Blue Eyes is racist. Blue and brown eyes).

Last night on The Voice, The Hannah Huston performance of “I can’t make you love me” was my favorite. I have alays enjoyed her personality, and I thought she sang well in a new dimension for her last night. Also rising up was Mary Sarah, who has improved each week. And she has the real country audience going for her (It is pretty obvious that XTina doesn’t like “Country” or she is trying to temper the biggest voting block against her players.) Also rising up last night was Paxton, who really got the crowd going with “Break Every Chain.” I would have preferred it to be about 30 seconds shorter and to have heard a softer more emotional ending. Adam Wakefield is a great talent with a strong voice, but his performance last night had me drifting off. Another powerful Singer (And perhaps one of the most talented) is Brian Bautista, who will do well with the urban side. Of course Alisan was good again. But not as great as some of her work in the past. A little “shouty” at times. Nick Heggelin was pretty magical at times. The guy seems to have a lot of range and a teen heart sucking personality. I like Owen and he was better this week, but I personally am not a big fan of the James Taylor song he sang – Fire and rain. Daniel Passano was one dimensional and could be one of the bottom three with Owen and Shaylah, who was really good but not as good, to me, as she has been on the past.

Oh, in case you are interested, as of the moment The Voice leaders in ITune sales are Paxton #21, Mary Sarah #27, Laith #29, Alisan #32, Hannah #35, Adam #36, Brian #81, Nick #103, Shaylah #109, Owen #113 and Daniel #121. Interesting here is that either these songs are not as good as in the past or the audience is diminishing. In the previous years there often were several in the top ten of Itune sales.

Over the Top, Department:
In the tribute to a cultural icon with no ending, here are two of the most outrageous: “The death of Prince is the Black 911.” “Prince is the Musical Mandela fighting apartheid radio.” By the way, many companies, like Cheerios and 3M, created tributes to Prince, but were beaten down by intolerant tweeters, who railed against commercialization of their saint.

Speaking of commercialization, you have to admit that there could never have been a more powerful promotion for the release of the new Prince Album, which is now expected to perhaps top all previous sales champions!

Sanders in RI here before a gigantic crowd, started the hootin’ and hollerin’ by first reminding the masses that RI is dead last with the worst bridges and roads. Then he went on to say that the upper 1% are killing us. Now here’s what’s so humorous about that. The roads and bridges are bad because the Government officials misused the hard earned tax money of regular folks, and 1 per-centers alike, designated to maintain infrastructure and build new facilities. There is even a chance that some of the people’s dough was wrongly appropriated for personal use, and that construction excellence was lack luster. Nah. But, of course all those blind recipients of Sanders misguided view of reality never will understand that if they aren’t even getting from the government what they pay for, how will they ever get what he promises for free?

It is the absurdity of establishment politician’s promises like Sanders that is driving the movement towards candidates like Trump. The outrageous Trumpeter is especially strong in a state like progressive RI where indies and Repubs are more moderate than te rest of the country.

I like Michael Strahan, but I don’t quite understand this immense bidding war for his services.

The Parking Lot: Chapter 56.
After a super warm hug and few delicious kisses, Jared stepped back and looked at this woman who stops his heart. He as stood absorbing Nancy, she quickly brought him back to reality.
She turned and walked to her seat at the table, “We have plenty of time for this when are finished figuring out what we are going to do. Ok, fill me in.” She sat, looked up and smiled again, emitting that bit of sunshine that weakened Jared’s knees. His heart seemed to be beating all of the time now. What, he thought, ever happened to cool and laid back Jared, But, she as right as usual he knew. They had a lot to do.
Jared pulled out another chair and proceeded to describe the players and the conversations, ending by saying, “He, the father, seemed interested. How will we cover his investigation of our “Firm.?” He laughed at that.
“That’s not a problem,” she said. “I have run a small fictitious land development company for many years, After all,” she looked up and smiled, running a hand through a piece of hair tickling her cheek. “After all,” she reminded him, My family is the largest land owner in this area.” He started to open his mouth, but she interrupted, “Don’t worry it looks and is very legal, but most of the listed names are aliases.” She added. +It’s private and we are a allowed to do that.” He added another mark to his admiration check list.
“But,” she went on. “Tom Howland is no fool. He can play you and me as much as we him. So don’t get overly excited about his apparent willingness to cooperate with a stranger. Remember e both grew up here, and we know each other. There are many stories about the past, and I don’t know which version he accepts. Also, he knows I am out there somewhere, and he his just smart enough to see you as an interesting coincidence. He may have heard from Fred about us,  and may already see you as  a way to suck me in. We have started a big game of chess.”

The Answer:
A sixteen year old girl named Sybil Ludington road her horse through the NY counties of Putnam and Duchess warning people that the British were burning down Danbury Ct. Her problem with history was that Longfellow wasn’t living in the neighborhood. Bonus: In the year 2000, Vermont Governor Howard Dean signed the bill that made same sex civil unions legal. EeeeeeeeYahhhhhhh! Most people would have agreed with that.

If the twitter world can induce the crucifixion of a good guy like Tom Brady, it can crucify anybody. I have to wonder what the IQ of tweeters is. It seems to me that tweeters react to words and not full thoughts.

Maybe I won’t put the Tids on Twitter after all.
