Larmes dans mes yeux; Douleur dans mon Coeur.

Today's Tids Issue 3,641
For Thoughtfulness:

I cannot imagine the horror last night on that street in Nice, but my stomach can feel it. My heart says there should not be evil that deep in human beings, but eyes see the heartless brutality. My body wants to run to throw arms around the distraught parents, spouses, lovers and friends to console them, but my spirit is there praying to God for eternal comfort.

Whatever happened to Todd Hamilton?

A man knocked at my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool, so I gave him a glass of water.

The Question:
What did French soldiers find in 1799 that is called “Instrumental in deciphering Egyptian hieroclyphics.” Bonus: Who are the last 5 winners of the British Open

The Headlines:
--Healthy Retail Sales Report And Surging Industrial Production For June Has Markets Opening Strong; Wells Fargo Earnings Slip.
--Death Toll In Nice Up to 85; 30 More Are In Life Or Death Status; Texas Dad And Son Among Those Killed.

Passing by a morning TV set I see mobs of giddy people awaiting the latest PR visit of a celebrity, cheering madly, apparently totally oblivious to the bodies of murdered French revelers lying in bloody masses on another street across the ocean.

Billionaire Charles Koch likened the choice between Hillary And Trump to a choice between cancer and a heart attack. This is interesting in that prospective VP choice Pence had as one of his attributes close ties to the Koch Brothers. In other words, while yesterday Pence looked like a shoo-in, maybe today Trump is thinking of a new direction – no cents, no Pence.

One of Hillary’s problems is what happens to many who misrepresent the truth: The more she says, “I’ve changed, meet the new me,” the more people say, “why should we believe her now.”

At least President Obama hasn’t come out to say what happened in Nice was road rage.

Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes.

It’s pretty much acknowledged that if Hillary gets in, there will be a huge push for taxpayer funded nationalized health care. If Trump gets in, nobody knows what to expect.

In case you were wondering, Todd Hamilton won “The Open” in 2004, and has den little else since. He has played in 234 tournaments and has had 6 top ten finishes. At t e time of the Open win he was looked at as a promising player. Mainly he gets to play ion Opens for life. But that was it. He is currently in 116th place in The Open at Troon.

Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--As far as I can remember, I don’t believe I have spent all of these years hoping for a sequel to Ghostbusters. This one is for Hillary as H-Wood women actors got to get to show that women can slime as well as women. Strangely, the audiences who have seen it have been were less than luke warm about the film, while the critics seemed to give it relatively high grades. Maybe diversity is more important to them than content. Of the movie, if you saw the first you’ve seen it, though even the critics say it is not as good. So, basically it is a cultural event to give comediennes sequel rights.
--The Infiltrator has a good cast and enough to keep you tense and interested. A US Custom’s Agent (Cranston) goes undercover to infiltrate a blood soaked drug trafficking operators. You can imagine the tension in this true story.
--Café Society is a Woody Allen romance film set in the 1930’s with all of the glitter of Hollywood and New York café society and its stars, socialites, debutants, playboys, gangsters and politicians. Actually, it’s a nice human interest tale with a pleasant love story.

The Answer:
The Rosetta Stone is not just the name of a language learning course, it is the key to past knowledge. Bonus: Of Course, It is “The” Open. Britain does not have to be defined! Last year it was Zach Johnson. Previous to the popular American we had Northern Ireland’s Rory McElroy, USA’s Phil Michelson, South Africa’s Ernie Els and Northern Ireland’s Darren Clark. The rest of the last Ten are Louis Oosthuezen, Stewart Cink, Paidrig Harrington, Paidrig Harrinton, Tiger Woods and Tiger Woods…and Todd Hamilton.

After France, I am afraid for humanity. Our Presidential election almost seems like conic relief for a dangerous world.

Have a great Weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!

He who laughs last thinks slowest.
