It’s all about Saturday at 8:15.

Today's Tids Issue 3,774
For Self Determination:

What makes me wonder about days ahead,
On this morn, just out of bed,
It’s all of those experts that I see
Who’s opinions vary by One eighty degrees.
How can so many of em’ all be so correct
Predicting Trump great, or a total car wreck.
When one paints a picture all in black
While another use white just to distract.
They are all elite with grand Phd’s
But can’t see the forest for all of the trees.
So I’ll just read and get all of the facts.
And close my ears to egregious attacks
I’ll open my mind to sensibility, choosing ala carte,
And live the world according to my heart.

It looks like the emotional surge of the stock market is about to be interrupted by reality – Earnings Season. Good feeling can be squashed in a twinkling when the numbers hit the road. So get ready for the facts. They have a way of getting in the way of irrational exuberance! Alan Greenspan remembers.

I just went out and saw the glistening seas, the magnificent ocean that touches all corners of the world. And I stood there. And I thought, as I gazed out beyond the horizon into forever. The world of harangues, is pretty mundane.

The Question:
The composer of the great Frank Sinatra tune “My Way” will sing it at the inauguration. Who is he?

Beyond the bombast of Trump and the tears of Democrats, there are facts. It turns out that the nearly 2.7 million popular vote advantage for Hillary was almost certainly due to the presence of California in our union. Take away the California vote – 8,753,788 for Hill to 4,483,810 for Trump – and the popular vote goes to Trump for the other forty nine, 50.6% to 49.4%. So, for the towns and regions surrounding Hollywood, Hillary is their president. Maybe Cal will secede. Now you can see perhaps more clearly why the electoral college, which tends to negate a one state overpowering influence, is meaningful.

In other words, does the USA want to be subservient to the whims of California?

The cock must be crowing at least three times during the Senate hearings on Trump nominees, if you get my drift.

Well I picked the wild card games 100%, but you never saw them, cause I forgot to type them in. But, this week is a little tougher. The easiest game according to the experts and the local homers is the New England-Houston game. I don’t think it will be that easy, but them I’m one of those fans who is always worried about the team until the final second expires. But. I have to pick the Pats. --The other AFC game is Pitt and Kansas City. I think Pitt is playing very well right now, and they play tough when the dollars are on the table. KC is an enigma to me. I like Smith and at times they seem cohesive, and they are at home. This will be a squeaker with Pitt winning. Oh no, Pittsburgh…I hate the thought of playing next this longtime rival for new-millennium superiority. --I just have in my brain that Atlanta is soft and Seattle is ruthless. I like ruthless teams in the playoffs, so I’m picking the Seahawks who could pile up a lot of yardage on the ground. --The darlings of the national expert elite are featured in the game between Dallas and Green Bay. American’s team against the People’s team. Aaron is experienced and playing well. Zac is inexperienced and playing incredibly well. Ezekiel has amazed the experts. Dallas has put a lot more together than just two sensational rookies. Green Bay has lost Jordi Nelson. Plenty of people are thinking old Green Bay will come through against young Dallas. I don’t. I go Cowboys.

How about a 2020 presidential ticket of Rosie O’Donnell and Meryl Streep? Yikes! Maybe the Dems have found their new party leadership after all.

A widening income gap will continue to feed progressive socialist movements whether or not you like it. Unless of course, Trump can make America great again with better higher paying jobs and defuse the anger. But when ideologies are a driving force, getting it right probably will never matter. The socialists will be a bigger presence in 2020 regardless. It’s all about the cause, not the people. The cause is just easier when the peeps are down.

How things have changed, Department:
Senator Bob Corker -R- who heads the Senate Foreign Relations Committee urges fellow senators (i.e. Rubio ) to overcome differences and vote for Tillerson saying his replacement could be even less palatable…and… “Then Trump, a new president who knows little about the job he is entering, might have no-one around who actually knows something about international relations, which at least Tillerson does.” Double Yikes!

Do you get the feeling that the outgoing DoJ is out to get USA police departments before it leaves office?

Everybody loves San Diego except San Diego Charger owner Dean Spanos who has just moved the team to LA, where they just got another ream the Rams. I don’t get it. Of course, it’s all about some wealthy owners wanting taxpayers to build new stadiums so they can become wealthier on the backs of wage earners. Thank God for the sensibility of San Diego. BTW, one of the most successful trams around financially and in winning percentage, the Patriots, play in a stadium built by owner Bob Kraft!

Most of those who repeat the dangers of repealing ACA have apparently not been listening to the people who are in the process of moving towards that desirable goal. Or they don’t want to hear it because it will dilute their fear mongering.

It would be sad if the Senate rejects Rex T who could become the T Rex of Secretaries of State. A giant, in this observer’s eyes. Maybe lifelong politicians fear opening the gates of Washington DC to capable successful men and women?

BuzzFeed might just make a bundle during the next four years publishing TrumpTweets.

The President elect is already proving he can wreak havoc on the stock market. His latest denunciation of Pharma proves that. I’m not sure it’s a good idea to have the public sector influencing the machinations of the Capitalist private sector by continuously embarrassing them in public. That’s why we have socialists.

Too many people worry about where they aren’t.

Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--Patriots Day is about the Boston terrorist explosions that killed and maimed. It’s about unsung heroes and citizen heroes. It’s a good, exciting, well paced movie that should have some meaning for all. The acting and cast is good, and even though you know the facts and the outcome, it still keeps you riveted. No over the top exploitation. Just solid story telling.
--Silence is that film Scorsese has been wanting to make for years. It’s about two Christian missionaries who venture into dangerous Japan where Christianity is outlawed and their presence forbidden. It tests the faith of the twosome who are seeking to find their mentor, an elder missionary long missing.
--The promotion for Live by Night is powerful and beautifully executed. You might think the movie would be excellent too. But it is just ok, more an often told story of the times of racketeering and mobs, and in this case about a son of a police chief who gets hooked on criminal activity, and spirals downward. I might see it a pinch.
--The critics don’t like Sleepless, but audiences will probably enjoy the action packed thriller about a policeman who will have to work outside his department to rescue his kidnapped son from a homicidal gang w=that panicked after a heist gone bad.
--“bye Bye man” is the name of the demon who gets inside the heads of all of those people who do the unspeakable things we seem to read about more each day. In this horror film, three college students discover Bye Bye and try to resist it’s evil. Can they?

The Answer:
Paul Anka in addition to being a 60’s pop icon, was quite the talented composer and he will sing his own song “My Way” with new words at the inauguration.

I doubt is there is enough room in the Tids “Headlines” Department to record of all of the Trump negatives that will be published elsewhere leading up to the Inauguration. It is just going to get ugly as the losers try to stop his presidency before it begins. Has this ever happened in the history of our country?

Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!

Here’s a little thing I like that has an ability to un jumble minds.
