Resistance comes naturally.

Today's Tids Issue 3,987
For Solitude:

Holy Gobble, Turkeyman, It’s November! I like November, that month when coolness gets serious and life seems to settle into simple routines. Football, soccer and field hockey games are beginning to become meaningful, and basketball and hockey is wetting appetites for extra-long seasons ahead. Baseball’s last crack of the bat and thunk of a fastball into a mitt is tonight. The last leaves will be raked and the gardens turned over (At least up here), plants snuggling in for the winter ahead. Thrills are in the eye of the beholder, and I look at this seasonal slowdown as perfection. A time to breathe that ends with a day to say thanks. What could be better.

Unfortunately, this first day of this perfect month has become a morning to pray for those unmercifully mowed down by a heartless ideological lunatic. The month begins with a day to say God bless them all.

One of the ongoing problems of today is that there are too many people trying to tell other people how to lead their lives. This is opposed to ancient times when people weren’t allowed to have lives. Eventually, some generation will get it right.

Quitting food consumption cold turkey is a favorite November pun.

The Question:
Which American manufacturer is considered the best maker of each of the following products: Fridge, Wall Oven, Range- Gas, Range Electric , Dishwasher, Washers, Gas Grills and Small Appliances.

I was walking through a restaurant the other night when I heard a group at a table energetically talking about health care coverage. Why would anybody waiting to enjoy a good dinner want to talk about healthcare? I would need aspirin before I ate.

New York mass murderer Sayfullo Saipov entered the US through a “Diversity” Visa Program. Say What? We have to import Jihadists for diversity? I think we are crazy.

Have you noticed during big sports events like the World Series how all of these celebrities want to become instant experts on activities they have never watched during the year. And the audiences just soak it up. That’s what’s a possible indication of why you see so many gullible people accepting the rhetoric of misleading politicians.

There are those days when you think you are having a good time, and then you reflect back on it and wonder when and how somebody attached a “Kick Me” sign to your butt.

That story about the two women lost at sea gets weirder and weirder.

It appears that Estee Lauder sales are out of sight, as more and more women seek to hide their flaws. I personally think most women look just great as they are. I hope that isn’t considered a sexual harassment style observation.

The New Reuters/Ipsos Poll Says only 16% of voters have great deal of confidence in media. In case you hadn’t already noticed.

I experienced “Doodle”, an interacting calendar app service, for the first time today. That’s what so great about today’s new world – exhilaration after exhilaration. The only problem was that while it may be beneficial to meeting setups, it totally crapped up my computer.

A serious as the subject has become, you have to laugh at the latest H-Wood director accused of sexual abuse. It was Brett Ratnor, who‘s films in include “Horrible Bosses”! Was that his mea culpa film?

The Answer:
For Fridge French Door, it is GE Profile and Whirlpool; Bottom Freezer it is Whirlpool. Jenn Air beats out Sub-Zero for built-ins. Whirlpool nips Maytag and KitchenAid for Wall Ovens. KirchenAid is it for gas range and the top 2 for electric flattop are GE ad Maytag.  KitchenAid, Kenmore and Bosch lead the list for Dishwashers. Maytag Washers are best in front loaders and Whirlpool fro top load. Vermont Casting edges Weber for Gas Rrills. In two Small Appliance categories, KitchenAid is the favorite for Stand Mixers and Vitamix beats out Blendtec and the venerable Waring for blenders.

I’ll never buy a used blender, because you can never know what kinds of fruit have been mashed up in them.

New Yorkers will be standing strong today, because that’s what Americans do when under attack.
