I’m
really not against everything. I just always worry about
the pendulum swinging too far one way or the other, disregarding the reality of
good common sense and what is good for a majority of the people; especially the
silent people who don’t have time to shout. Sometimes you just have to over emphasize
“Stop it!”, to perhaps give that old pendulum a second thought.
God
created freezing cold to gives humans something to complain

As
the unemployment rate dips two things could happen. One,
there is a wage war as Corporations desperate for good and skilled help offer
higher and higher salaries to woo the best available, remaining workers. Two, companies
experiment more actively with AI and robotics to eliminate human jobs all together.
Circumstances breed both technological and social innovation..

if a vegan ever walked into his place. “I cater to carnivores” says, “Uncle
Jack’s Steakhouse” owner Willie Degel. That’s good and the way it should be,
says I. People have the right to pick where they want to go, and businesses
have the right to be who they are serving their own segment s of people. If consumers
don’t like what’s available somewhere, they have plenty of options to go elsewhere.
You make choices about lifestyle, and you seek to fulfill it where you find it
best for you. It’s really quite a simple
concept. This, opposed to government empowering mandates or judicial edicts for
the somewhat fictitious idea of forced equal service, memberships or citizenry.
Individual freedom should never be coerced or eliminated. This goes for states and
communities catering to their citizens and not caving to outside influences.
Regardless of outside influences, masses tend to move within their own environments.

As
much as activists and politicians tell us that all people are
equal in all things, there is juts no denying that some people are more
productive employees than others.
As
my paper bag broke and my groceries tumbled to the floor, my
irritation was reinforced once again: The biggest nuisance in my life time has
been the elimination of plastic bags.
I
was quite excited to watch the University Of Central Florida
go undefeated beating the one team that has beaten both of the teams playing for
the national championship. Let’s hope the NCAA mahoffs and national experts
wake up to the fact that often these non-major conference upstarts are truly excellent
teams deserving te same recognition as those doted upon in the anointed bigger
leagues.
BTW,
after the UCF victory, the announcers were praising their Coach Frost for his efforts
coaching the team while having already begun working at his position with his
next team Nebraska. Excuse me, but he was being paid to coach UCF, and there is
nothing especially laudable about sticking to his word and promise to players
he recruited.
Tech
company stocks were out of sight this year. But the road
paved with gold may start to tarnish a bit. For some, the lack of real profits may
come into play this year. Others may begin to lose market dominance. For instance,
Google Chrome has now lost a Browser leadership position in to Alibaba’s UC in
two of the world’s 5 largest countries – India and Indonesia. A lot of companies
are riding on emotion and enthusiasm for newness, but reality could overtake them
as in the case of Uber and AirBnb who may see regulation roadblocks. The economy
should continue to do well, but perhaps a few tech high flyers will be replaced
by yet a newer breed. These days, you never know when the death of a technology
will occur.
I
wonder if KFC feeds their chickens the 11 herbs and spices? Because
they sure taste better.
