Core values don’t know politics.

Today's Tids Issue 4,375
I'm Me; You are you:

This is one of those Icy/Hot days. Too much exercise and not enough conditioning. But, it’s a good pain.

This just came in over the news wire 20 minutes ago: “Burrillville (RI) has just designated itself a “Sanctuary City for Gun Owners”. I think I’ll move there. (This is absolutely true, folks)

Yesterday I tried to talk about the watering down of USA institutions as misstated facts become acceptable though massive repetition. I wonder if US history will also be a thing of the past as people rewrite it to support their versions of that they would like it to have been to justify their own delusions. And kids in school don’t study it the way they had in the past. For too many people today, history is the last tweet.

The rich apparel maker gave it all up, choosing spirituality over material wealth.

Always remember you are unique, just like everybody else.

The Question:
In what other movie did Talia Shire attain fame before Rocky? Who was her most famous sibling?

The Headline:
--DOW Down After 3M Disownment, S&P Up In Early Afternoon; Nasdaq Gets Big Push From Tech Stocks; Microsoft Hits Profit Targets And Crosses One Trillion Value line.
--Putin And Kim New Best Buds; Kim Says He Is Only Looking For Security Against Nuke Attack.
--Massachusetts Judge And Aid Who Helped Illegal Immigrants Escape ICE arrest Indicted By Fed Authorities.

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

Tids Teen Thoughts:
If Monday were a person, he or she would be the last picked for a team in gym class. It would be the one to consistently annoy everyone, the student who reminded the teacher about giving the night’s homework task. Yet, he or she would also be a leader. You see, Monday is a go getter. The day with a blank page and looking for opportunities. But I feel bad for Monday. Think of all the times someone has claimed they hate Mondays. I’m sure their reasoning was because they had to go back to work, or school, or because the pressures of the upcoming week would begin to haunt them. But none of that is the fault of Monday. I mean, Monday is the just the name of a day. The realization hurts, not the day itself. If Wednesday and Monday switched places, would we all still despise Monday? No, the hate would be directed to Wednesday. No one ever wants to go first; no one wants to bring the bad news. But someone has to, and Monday is unfazed stepping up and taking the fall for the rest of the week. Wait a minute, Monday is not even the first day of the week; Sunday is. But what does everyone do on Sundays? They sit on their couch and watch TV and finish last week’s procrastinated work, mourning a new week ahead, beginning on…Monday. And then Monday dawns to discontent. But here is the funny thing -- once the day gets started, it feels no different than a Tuesday or Thursday. The work demands don’t change for those days, so where is all the hate towards them? Yes, the days are all the same. So, give Monday a break. It deserves it. Being first can be a burden, ask Monday or any person who steps out in front.

Hillary said Trump supporters are a basket of deplorables. Joe Biden began his campaign saying that “our core values,” “the soul of America are at stake.” So is he saying hardworking Repubs raising families and loving each other and also democrats are excluded from the soul of America? Have no core values?

A number of people I know, including myself are sold 100% on the MHP grills. They are especially important when living by salt water as they resist corrosion like no other. And they cook good too.

If socialism is that good, why aren’t the caravans heading to Venezuela.

Looking at Joe Biden, I think I know why he waited so long to announce. He needed time for his facelift to heal.

The media will try to turn that Mass Judge, who helped illegals evade the law, into a martyr. Somethings these days are just so easy to predict.

It wasn’t called “Toxic Masculinity” when the marines were raising the flag on Iwo Jima.

I think I know what Joe Biden was trying to say about core values, but as usual he didn’t quite know how to express it properly.

The Answer:
Talia, born Talia Rose Coppola is sister of Francis Ford Coppola and aunt of Nicholas Cage. Her first big acclamation came from her role as Connie Corleone in The Godfather Series.

Most people who are honest with themselves pretty much know who they are. The last ting anybody needs is a politician telling them who they are and who they aren’t.
