 Are you ready for love and romance, dreams of beautiful things? Well it’s February, which I always paint red for swelling and beating hearts. It’s the culmination month for many, and the end of hope for some. But never for the little glorified wood chuck in the dark whole, who each year gets all of the love, becomes a celebrity. How much ground could a groundhog hog, if a groundhog could hog ground. Well, for starters it his hogging the glorified ground that used to belong to George Washington and Abe Lincoln when we used stop a moment for their birthdays. Now our focus is on a myth and a nude kid with a bow and arrow. And car sales. Where have you gone America.

 

Yesterday’s game was certainly one that made digesting KFC gravy very difficult. Wow! Brady was impeccable during the last two dives where he went 8 for 8 against a defense hadn’t allowed scores in the last quarter. And Edleman was enormous as was Verine and the other receivers. And of course the guys who really dig down to hold the lines. It looked hopeless to this diehard fan, but I found a glow of hope when at 24-14 I saw Seahawks gloating on the sidelines. Yup, the Seahawks forgot one thing about my beloveds, we never give up.

 

I see where Bill Gates has joined Elon Musk in wondering why more people don’t seem to understand the potential threat from AI (Artificial Intelligence) All I can say is, “Auto Correct”!

 

 

The Question:

Of course, there are many naysayers who are disappointed because they couldn’t get the Pats and Brady on the field, so they will continue their gripes about the balls. Even now after Brady using heavily scrutinized so-called official footballs set the Super ball record for most completed passes and most yards, they still show their envious selves by trying to taint the efforts of a team playing gutsy football. They will push for Pat’s fines and general humiliation even today in the light of new evidence that says only one football was severely deflated, while ten others were merely  a ”Smidge” below the 12.5. Oh yeah, tis is the Question: Which NFL teams have been most heavily fined in the history of the league?

I was at an affair yesterday, attended by supposedly pretty intelligent people. So I was dismayed a bit when in the coffee line seeing first “Decaf”, Hot water” and then “Coffee – with caffeine”. Has the new generations so mucked up the English language that we have to define words that used to have a singular meaning? Or, are there just too many lawyrers.

Of course the cars don’t drive themselves. A study of the demographics of drivers might also be interesting.

 

Somebody driving in front of me had a license plate that read “IQ 11”. If they knowingly put that on their plate, then it is probably true.

Even though there were many heartfelt SB commercials and barely any dwelling on  boorish, sophomoric irresponsible behavior or intense sexuality, the first commercial that got to me, and probably my favorite was the Coke commercial promoting harmony among people. There is just so much bitterness, between kids, people politically and people in general for no significant reason, that I think It should be a theme for the next generation. We have lost our ability to understand kindness, to see the good in others.  I may switch from dietPepsi to diet Coke, unless of courese Pepsi is cheaper.

 

Oh yeah, and the half time show was tamed down and actually decent even though I knew none of the songs.
