Loosen up.

 Today's Tids Issue 5,895

Ok, Now What:

Families have a way of making you smile, of being here when you need them most of all.

Comedians across the country are saying it's tough to be funny these days because everybody is so angry. How sad is that.

Tonight for the Prez, it will be a white tie affair, an elite Royal gathering in the Castle with the King and perhaps Queen. DT may not look familiar without his red tie. Who is that man?

I have looked for and found data that says the average Dollar Tree Store shopper makes 20 visits spending $290 Annually. That's about $14.50 per visit. A wealthy person makes one visit ot a Range Rover store and spends. $83,700 for a RR Sport. That's equal to just over 5,772 visits to a dollar store. The latest consumer spending information shows a slowdown in spending among lower income shoppers - ($175K and below) and that the wealthiest 10% are still spending as always accounting for 49% of all purchases. The point of this exercise other than to entertain my bazaar curiosity, is that the economy is slowing and may more so as tariffs kick in.

The Question:

There will always be an England, right: Who are the next five in line to be the King or Queen of England?

The Headlines:

--Breaking: Federal Reserve Curs Rate by 25 Points; Signals Two More Cut by years End; At id Afternoon Dow Up, Nasdaq, S&P Not so Much; Economists Worried about Slowdown in Consumer Spending Mirroring Trends in Labor Market.

--Reviews of Apple New Product Lineup Positive.

--Four Arrested After Projecting Images of Trump and Epstein onto Walls of Windsor Castle.

The hope for a rate cut seems to have been the main ingredient driving the market to record highs. So, now that we just got it, how will reality set in. That is the big question.

Have you noticed that the typical Atlantic Hurricane season has been historically quiet his year. There just haven’t been enough atmospheric disruptions to stir the tropical pot. The Caribbean Islands are particularly grateful, and the US East coast is starting to enjoy a storm free season. But the weather people are flummoxed wandering what to do. But wait, while 80% of Hurricanes generally occur in August and September, we still have October which has had a bad one or two.

Just in case anybody is interested, I tend to believe unceremoniously sacked CDC Director Susan Monarez.

Retracting thoughtless statements and pronouncements seems to be the new way of life in DC.

Why is 2025 the year of the gutter? Does it reflect TV or the general political morass or has the gutter cleaners of America united to find a new path into American wallet? Everybody wants a piece of me.

A great reader wonders: “If Pro V1 Golf Balls are so good why do I find so many in the rough miles formthe fairway?”

After the Publisher’s Clearing House Bankruptcy, the “Lifetime: Payouts to winner s ended abruptly. Whoops -- Youmight have won a lifetime payout. Time to find a job.

My new objective in life is to finish Tids before 11 am so I can watch all of Price is Right.

NBC Nightly News seems more and more based on the availability of dramatic video, mostly irrelevant to most USA lives. How do we get eyeballs.

Like a localkid on social media from upstate RI who decided to go outrageous to get viral. Yeah, he poured gasoline over himself, lit it on fire then jumpeed off a railroad trestle into a river to douse it/ Y Too bad he didn't go to physics class. He was seriously injured. BTW, his buddy jumped in the river to get drenched before striking the match. (It did make NBC). But the bigger point is that social media and gaming aficionados say their pastimes don't influence plyable teen brains. Yeah, sure.

The Answer:

Charles oldest son Willam, Prince of Wales is next. Then we have William's oldest son Charles, daughter Charlotte and third child son, Louis. Number fivc is Charles other son, Prince Harry Duke of Sussex. What about Princess Anne? Shouldn't she be ahead of disgraced Andrew and well-liked Edward. I guess not as she is #17 after her younger brothers because of some new succession act without a retroactive provision. She is on the International Olympic committee and still winning Blue Ribbons on her Mom’s horse. Or is that whinnying! Besides, she went viral shrugging off President Trump.

Have a wonderful night. See you all tomorrow.
