Over analysis.

Today's Tids Issue 5,901

Misperception:

There's a fine line between fishing and standiing on the shore looking like an idiot.

Say What... is the AI valuation phenomena getting a little spongy. That's one reason for the Stock markets to ease up for a while. They always find a reason.

The SEC is responsible for protecting investors', maintaining a fait, orderly and efficient marketplace and facilitate capital formation... but most Americans know it as the most powerful college Football conference.

Whatever happened to pure entertainment without a message?

The Question

Trumps wealth is up about $3 Billion this year on investments in Crypto according to Forbes 400 Listing. Where does the President rank on the list of Wealthiest 400. Bonus: There are a couple of opening and closing witticisms in here. Who do you think I stole them from?

The Headlines:

--Markets drifting in Negative Territory today; Weekly Jobless Claims Fall but Labor Market Soft; Starbucks to Layoff 900 Tomorrow and close Underperforming Stores In Continuing Battle To Correct Listing Ship.

--China Economy: BYD Outsells Tesla in EU for Second Straight Month; Alibaba AI Ambitions has Stock Soaring.

--Ex-French Present Sarkozy Sentenced to 5 Years in Libya Fraud Caper;

--Dem Anger at Current Congressional Leadership Feuling 2026 Primaries.

--Crypto Investment Add $3 Billion to Trumps Wealth; Trump 19yo Son Baron up to $150 Mil Fortune on Crypto Investments: Other Two Sons Rich on Crypto at $500 Mil and $750 Mil; This According to New Fobes 400.

--White House Prepping for Firings if Government Shuts Down.

--Kimmel Back and Jabbing at Trump.

The Fed really is between the proverbial rock and a hard place, and I don mean between the White House and rational thinking. The labor crisis that has recently showed up in the economy generally requires lowering interest rates, but inflation which requires increasing rates seems to be heading more towards 3% than 2%.

Well, the old TidsPickers were a mediocre 9-7 last week for a record to date of a lackluster 31-17 (65%) All I can say is there were some crazy departures from the norm last week. Tonight's game seems pretty ordinary. I have to pick Arizona over Seattle. There are a lot of tough picks tis week including many among teas going nowhere so far. My posers are New Engand-Carolina, Philly-TB, and maybe the key game of the week between two 1-2 teams, Baltimore and Kansas City. Neither of these two preseason best picks looked great last week. Is he magic gone for Jackson and Mahomes? I'll take KC. I'm making TB-Philly a close one because of the Baker Mayfield effect. This will be a nailbiter for Philly denizens but te Eagles will win. The Pats actually played 99% of the field well last week. Carolina surprised everyone with a romp over Atlanta. I'm going Pats to get rid of fumbleitis.

Of the rest I like Minn over Pitt, Washington over Atlanta, and Buffalo way over New Orleans. The Cleveland/Detroit game is interesting only because the Browns surprised everybody last week. I think Detroit has found themselves and even the ever-resourceful Joe Flacco can't will it true this week. I like Houston to take Tenn and the Rams to slow down Indy. I'm rooting for Jax over the Niners but I think San Fran will win. Green Bay will bounce back and take Dallas in a traditional rivalry game. Jerry Jones will be apoplectic. I like Denver over Cincy and da Bears over Vegas. The two 0-3 NY teams are desperate for a win, but so is Jets’ foe Miami. I'm picking Miami. The Giants have actually played well at times, but I think the Chargers are just a better team and wiil win despite the efforts of soon to be the toast of Broadway, Jaxson Dart.

I lay there last night before going to sleep thinking, don't write about politics today. It's too depressing and sadly doesn't make sense. So far I think I have written about reality

I started another Netflix supposed big hit new series last night and once again the director thought it best ot do everything at night or in darkened rooms. And with unrelatable people in questionable existences. It will probably win an Emmy.

In addition... there are too many angry, screaming people in movies and TV shows these days. But I guess anger and screaming wins Oscars

Rumorville: These two seem to have legs though they may not be implemented. Congress is pursuing the idea of renaming Pell Grants as Trump Grants. Yikes. And even more wonderous, Repub Reps Abe Hamadeh (Az) and August Pfluger (Tx) have proposed putting Charlie Kirk’s image on the Silver Dollar. I wonder what Sacagawea would think of that?

Just in case you are interested. Scientists are saying we are one step closer to “Quantum Internet... whatever that means. What it probably means is that what you have seen that was amazing ithe past will be even more profound going forward. Just what we need, right, profundity?

I spilled spot remover on my dog. He's gone now.

The Answer:

Because of his ventures into Cryptocurrencies, Trump’s wealth jumped up ot $7.8 Billion which moved him up to spots onteh list to #201. In case you are interested, the new list has it Musk, Ellason, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Page, Brin, Balmer, Huang, Buffet and Dell. Put your kid into technology. Bonus: Who else but Stephen Wright.

Maybe I’ll hit the lottery. But I'm happy with the fortune I’ve found.
