Toned down.

Today's Tids Issue 5,904

All Equal:

This was sports overload Sunday with the Ryder Cup finish, your favorite NFL team playing and the last day of regular season baseball. And a really important. wild finish Nascar Cup Series race. Thats the nature of the US -- Lots of people with varied interests. And sports, despite the overwhelming publicity, is but a fraction of it. A large segment of our population didn't even know these events were going on.

Think of the money we could save if the Generals and Admirals extravaganza was on Zoom. What's that all about?

Sundays seem even more beautiful when Bruch’s Violin Concerto is playing.

The Question:

Who was the frst King of England?  Bonus: LinkedIn just announced their new list of the “Fifty Best Colleges for Long Term Career Success in the US.” Name the top 5.

The Headlines:

--Potential For Gov Shutdown has Dow Wavering Most of the Day; Nasdaq Showing Strength After Regrouping Following Last Week's Concern of Cracks in AI Overinvesting.

--After White House Meeting, Netty and Trump Agree on Gaza Peace Plan; Warning issued to Hamas.

--Trump Meets with Congressional Leaders in Effort to Avoid Shutdown,

--Saudis Buy Electronic Arts for $55 Billion.

How come with so many truly Amazing and great Americans across the country, the rest of the wordl only gets to see the insolent jerks at the Ryder Cup.

In 1590 just before he died from malaria, Pope Urban VII banned smoking around churches. Who knew. My father always left church way early to indulge in a Chesterfield.

There were two seriously horrid shootings yesterday where the carnage was similar, but the nightly news only covered one of them last night. Do they prefer church goers over innocent diners.

Hey, dd you hear... Bad Bunny has just been named as the Super Bowl half time show attraction. Ive bever needed a reason to avoid the Half time overdone blasts, but that sure sounds like a good one for leaving the room.

There's no truth to the rumor that Donald Trump wants to put on the Superbowl Half Time show. But it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

It’s not surprising that the stock markets are at all-time highs. The massive Boomer block of consumers have created sciesmic changes throughout teir generational dominance. The boomers are between 63 and 80 and they have plenty of dough to dump into retirement survival.

I was happy to see that Trump wrote Rory McIlroy a note congratulating Europe's effort. You never know what he might have said.

Time to go out and water the plants. Another set of daisies are coming alive. And even some zinnias I planted much to late are bringing out a little color now. I like the idea of saving plants that look like they may be dying.

Two Monday Night NFL games tonight but o wouldn't say they are two the world w has been waiting for,

The Answer:

The first King of England was a highly regarded man of the times respected throughout Europe. Today, though, he is among the missing in history. Hia name was Athistan. Queen Elizabeth was a direct descendent. Bonus: Number one is Princeton. Its followed by Duke, UPenn, MIT and Cornell. FYI, the rest of the top 20 are Harvard, Babson, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, Stanford, Northwestern, Virginie, Vanderbilt, Brown, Bently, Tufts, Lehigh, Columbia, Yale and Carnegie Mellon.

I always liked the idea,

The creator gets the spoils,

But these damn tariffs,

Within that theory roils.

Been A busy Monday, but trodding the rolling greens as the sun filters through numbs a brain.
