Acclimatizing.

Today's Tids Issue 5,919

Unclassified:

I can’t complain.

Life changes.

Sun to rain,

And back again.

We adapt,

Don't we all.

We find a way;

Sometime’s hard

But overcoming

Has its reward.

Surf’s Up, Department:

The markets went berserk yesterday. Nothing really happened except that traders felt better about a trade war easing. Storms kick up big waves after they pass. We are lolling in a “I feel something” market era. After analysts finish wrestling with earning’s reports, we'll be in the “I feel a bubble” cycle.

Despite the high cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains.

The Question:

Who was the first musician to get a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hint, it was in 1975.

The Headlines:

--Stocks to Pause today as Green Eyeshaders Analyse Key Earnings Reports from Netflix and Others; China Trade War Trauma Eases after Trump Signs Rare Earth Deal with Australia; Preci ous MetalsSlide as Tarde War Dims.

--First Female PM of Japan. Sabae Takaichi, Takes Office.

--Ex- French Prez Sarkozy Enters Prison to Serve Five Years for Campaign Funds Fraud.

--GM Stock Rises As Company lowers Potential Negative Effects of Tariffs from $4-5 Billion to $3.5-4.5 Billion.

--Massive AWS Outage Increases Calls for Cloud Diversification.

--US Chess Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky Dies at age 29; Chess Columnist for NY Times, He also had a Twitch Stream of 340,000 Followers.

--Pardoned Jan 6 Marauder Arrested After Making Death Threats against Dem House Leader Jefferies.

--Vance off to Israel.

For all of you who enjoy a good Orionid meteor shower under a full slivery moon, tonight is your night. They are best seen tomorrow Morning between 1 AM and Dawn. I have actually c gone to a beach at what seems like an ungodly hour, coffee cup in hand and been amazed at the celestial scurrying and enjoyed being part of the happy crowd around me also loving it all in the cool morning air.

With the demolition of the White House East Wing Trump is playing to younger generations who are comfortable with gutting or knocking down older homes.

There is a definitive age difference in opinions about the Trumpster. Older US citizens with plenty of time to observe government antics are seeing a presidency like they have never seen before in their long lives, and how it impacts traditional views of life in the USA. Younger generations are too busy trying make ends meet to worry about day-to-day opinions, and they are used to change. These are generalizations but there is a statistical element of truth in them.

The World Series is set, and it will be between the US West Coast and Canada. California versus Canada... The White House may have trouble with that.

Trump would be better off if he wasn’t so sophomoric in demeaning the opposition.

Did you know that the fastest growing franchise in history is the Crumbl Cookie biz. I'm afraid to walk in there fearing what it may do to my wallet. I guess the way past higher prices into a person’s heart is through the sweet tooth.

The cloud is sluggish today. Maybe Microsoft is having sympathy pains for AWS.

That Talladaga race Sunday was tedious to watch. The top 8 Championship Series drivers must have fallen asleep too because of them were at the bottom of finishers with crowd favorite Chase Elliot dead last after an early crash. But one of them went onto win it all and put him in prime positions to win the overall championship for 2025 – Chase Briscoe. Christopher Bell was the only other Series contender in the top ten. The standings are now Briscoe, Danny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Elliot at –62 Points. Elliot and the other for three lower bracket drivers can still make it with a win next week at Martinsville.

How about these drivers named Chase? Wouldn’t they be better off named Ahead

I know, too much NASCAR. My mother must have eaten corndogs when she was pregnant.

Young liberal Japanese woman are a bit dismayed it seems at the installation of the First Woman PM Sanae Takaichi. It seems Sanae has as her idol Margaret Thatcher and she has vowed to become "Iron Lady" of Japan. She will move the country further right and is against many woman's rights” issues. Though she has softened a bit to get elected promising things like incentives to companies that offer childcare But the good news is, like it or not, she is who she is in her heart and not what she is defined as by identity politics.

Maybe she and Trump will have a conservative affair, Haha. Sorry Malania. Though she will probably be fighting against him for Japan.

By shear coincidnce, bald sheep look similar.

The Answer:

The first Musician with a Star on HWoF was Elton John! The first eight honorees in 1958 as part of a concept demonstration were Olive Bordon, Ronald Coleman, Louise Fazenda, Preston Foster, Burt Lancaster, Edward Sedgewick, Ernest Torrence and Joanne Woodward. The first permanent star was Stanly Kramer in 1960. As of October 13, with the placing of a star for Naomi Watts, there are 2,825. 159 have multiple stars with Bob Hope at 4 and Gene Autry with 5 on top.

Why does anybody need more than one star. But then, we’re talking about Hollywood here.

Elton John has done it for a long, long time.
