No time for poetry

Today;s Tids Issue 5,899

Yet, always for feelings:

The UN meets in NYC today and the Palestine State will be on the table. Despite the European support, all eyes will be on the US and its decisibe voice. And of course, a lot of US Folks will be holding their collective breaths when DT gets up to speak. But will anything happen other than the argument moving along to another venue.

Cannibalism: It's a Doug eat Doug world.

Actually, if you look into your heart there is always time for poetry. Poetry isn’t about words placed, it's about feelings embraced.

Apparently, there was real life international conspiracy drama playing out in NYC yesterday. The Secret Service dismantled a network of devices and sim cards that was designed to interfere and was used to threaten US officials in addition to disrupting the city today. I can see a movie with Robert Redford as an undercover agent and Gene Hackman leading a task forced.

The Question:

When did the Nintendo Company go into business? Bonus: Where does Sinclair Broadcasting rank among TV Station Owners?

The Headlines:

--President Trump to Speak at UN Today; Israel Tanks Move Farther into Gaza.

--Markets Continue at record Levels; NVidia Surges on News of $100 Billion Investment in Open AI.

--Trump Fed Man Miron Soaking Yesterday says Interest rate should be 2 Points lower; Powell Speaks Today

--Kimmel Back on the Air Tonight; Sinclair Company Says Tey will Not Air his return on their ABC affiliates.

--Key Medical Associations Concerned Over Trump Tylenol Remarks; Tylenol Owner Kenvue’s Stock Rebounds after Positive Comments from Medical Professionals.

--US and China Near Big Deal for Boeing Airplanes.

--China Shifts Soybean Purchases to Argentina Leaving US Farmer in the Cold.

--Trump Designates Antifa a Terrorist Organization.

Spell-Check juts hates my use of the word “actually’.

The Detroit Lions have come a long way from their questionable opening game. But all is not joyful in the motor city as the once invincible Detroit Tigers are back down on earth and fighting for their playoff lives against the hottest team in Baseball the Tribe, I mean the Cleveland Guardians. I really don't like that new name. Never have.

While eyes today are on the global picture, an election today in a left leaning southern strip of Arizona could weaken the Repub razor thin margin in the House. Trump is looking at three and a half more years to do his thing, but the real question is what the house will look like after 2026. And the even bigger question, will it matter to him anyhow.

I really hate it when successful companies are sued for being good.

I buried my records in their vinyl resting place.

I just realized that in 101 issues the Tids will reach 6,000. At my age, chances are ten thousand is out of the question, Mortality beckons in mysterious ways

It seems to me that inconsistencies in policies is infecting many a previously stable business

Apple stock jumped yesterday. Investors seem to feel they have been rewarded for waiting all these years for something new to happen with the iPhone. And orders are telling them a positive story the past few days. People love Apple, and now they see a future again as payoff for their patience. But what is next in their world now dominated by AI. Are they a player.

Pizza is a pie chart of how much pizza is left.

The Answer:

Nintendo was founded in Japan in 1889. No, that is not a typo. The company started out making handmade Hanafunda cards and they evolved over the years to be relevant in every changing society. I wonder they they did in the early 1940’s. Bonus: Sinclair is sandwiched between number one Nexstar and number three Gray, Nexstar is in the process of trying to convince the FCC that it is OK if they acquire TEGNA Company for $6.2 Billion which would give them ownership of stations that go into 80% of US Households.  \What hoops will the Government bring to the table.

It's been a joy this morn,

To be with all of you.

It will keep me smiling

No matter what I do.
