Today's Tids Issue 3,450
Opening Stuff:
The
sun shines brightly above illuminating a cloudless blue
sky, and we feel the warmth. And that’s a truth. But is it in this new world of
denial and rejection? Something is either there or it isn’t. yet, we hear so
often, if you believe in that, then I must believe in this. Opposition for opposition
sake has removed simplicity from the ability to achieve reasonable solutions. Black
is black and white is white. Somewhere, I saw that written in black and white. The
writing though is becoming fuzzy because
humans are humans regardless. Black and white is grey, or should be. Colorless,
drab grey. Somehow achieving grey seems more colorful as I think about the possibilities
for harmony. There truly is grey in the midst of every disagreement. I see the
sun shining brightly above and I feel it warming my back.
A
good guy named Ray died recently. He was an artist, a
graphic designer who gave the world Ralph Lauren’s Polo Logo. He was a star in
his field. His great creative mind had faded into Alzheimer’s many years ago. Alzheimer’s,
the great equalizer that sadly reduces the brilliance of minds in all peoples
in all levels of society to debilitating puzzlement. It is sad to watch a
gleaming sun engulfed in grey clouds. I just feel for all who face it.
The
headline this morning read, “Clinton Confronts Her Critics”.
I’m sure our esteemed journalists didn’t purposely forget to mention that those
critics are by definition from the founding fathers the voices of people of the
US. The House of Representatives are, “to be elected by and represent limited
groups of citizens living in small geographically defined districts within each
state. They speak for and protect people. It just so happens that at this point
in history more of the Republican people than Democrat people are being heard
through their representatives and that majority is disturbed by what has
happened to their government under the current admin. So-if the media wants to call
Republicans like me critics, I wear it as a badge of courage and as a symbol of
America.
The
Question:
What was the name of the Delegate to the Constitutional
Convention in Philadelphia who gave us the compromise that led to the two chamber,
or bicameral Congress? Bonus: Name
the five Boroughs of New York City.

I’ve
got to start watching more TV talk and gossip shows. I
just don’t recognize any of these movies stars faces. But then, why is that important
for me to know.
A
friend highly recommends the Book, “Red Notice” by Bill
Browder. He tells me it is riveting non-fiction that involves Wall Street hedge
funds the Russian oligarchs and Putin. It has murder intrigue and fear.
You
have probably heard of the good work done by Ronald
McDonald Homes across the country. As you know they are located near hospitals
to provide comfortable shelter for families visiting to be with children with
long term debilitating diseases. Up in liberal Burlington VT the stature of Ronal
MDonald for years normally sitting on a bench in front of the house there was
found decapitated with feet removed, face burned. Then children were
traumatized, as you would expect. I would love to find out what kind of creeps
did that and why. I’ll keep my eyes open, in cas you too are interested in knowing
what makes some people tick like that.
While
The Hill was and will be applauded for being so cool during
11 hours of testimony, fact checkers have been finding many contradictions in her
testimony. I wonder if journalists will write about them.
A
leading profession in RI is Grant Writer.
When
I consider the platform and ethics of a certain well
known ex-first lady, female candidate for the presidency, I gain a clear
understanding of what the term “Down Hill” means –as in the decline and fall of
the USA, God help us.
The
phrase I have grown to hate is “It’s just politics”. Just Politics
means quite simply that somebody has lied to the public and I just can stand
for that.
One
of the last people I need as a guide to my living a decent
life is Gloria Steinem. By the way she makes it quite clear that she isn’t for
women, she’s for democrat women, and the more liberal the better.
Here’s
what I know about Black Lives Matter endorsed by
Obama yesterday. It was started, built upon the lie that Michael Brown had his
arms raised. The movement seems to encourage or at least condone killing police
in retaliation. So when I’m asked, “Do you support Black Lives Matter, I have
to say no. I answered that question in a survey yesterday. But not believing in
that lie and distortion doesn’t mean I don’t support taking each and every life
on this earth seriously. Instead of fomenting hatred, why wouldn’t the movement
look inward at why young people like Brown and others are roaming streets,
intimidating shopkeepers, causing their parents sleepless nights as they wonder
if their child will be there in the morning. That’s who I think about when is
hear black lives matter.
Speaking
of the politicization of the Benghazi panel, the Dems should
have been wearing cheerleading outfits with Big “H” emblazoned sweaters.
The
Parking Lot: Chapter 23 continues.
Jerry
took the Broadway exit off of I 195 and then lost Fred in the streets of East
Providence that have confused him for years. He thought that if they left in
that web he may never see home again. He smiled to himself.
The car
finally turned into a driveway entering a large area surrounded by a drab chain
link fence. A huge warehouse appearing building loomed. The car sped to a small
door that seemed surreal in the broad white expanse of the building. Eerie
thought Fred. He was sure they wouldn’t kill him. But hurt him, may be another story,
He had to go to the bathroom.
“Out”.
Jerry opened his door, and Fred assumed that Jerry wasn’t talking to himself. He
was right. He moved next to Jerry who was already tapping out some numbers on a
keyboard by the door. Click! The hallway ahead of the opening door was pretty
much black. Fred wanted to put his hand on Jerry’s shoulder fro guidance, but
thought better of it. Around another corner he saw a small stand alone office
with low lighting in the windows. Finally, he exhaled. Rackovic will bring
sense to this. Even though he didn’t like him either, he knew him.
Jerry
ushered him through the door and he stood facing three strange, tough,
unsmiling men. O Rackovic This was not good thought Fred. His bladder was
killing him.

Between the Line Movie Reviews:
n --Steve
Jobs was by a margin wider than that between Dems and Repubs the critical
favorite among the lackluster films this week. It shows Jobs for what he was, a
brilliant, strange little selfish, unfeeling creep – the proverbial “would step
on his grandmother to get ahead” guy. He knifed his pal Woznickie and was
tyrant to his employees; absent to his daughter. The movie does try to resurrect
his image a bit towards the end, showing that he may have realized what was missing
in his heart. Well acted with good cast
n --I’m
not even remotely interested in seeing the Last Witch Hunter. There are witches
lurking everywhere, so the story tells us, and it takes a hero like Vin Diesel
to vanquish the evil deeds of the mighty Queen. Action for fantasy fans.
n --Jem
and the Holograms is a live action version of the old TV cartoon with plenty of
music and barely a plot.
The
Answer:
Connecticut Delegate Roger Sherman was the man who
stopped the bickering with a compromise that gave us a house that represented
the people in small areas. Bonus:
NYC is comprised of Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, The Bronx and Manhattan.
I’m
sorry I got so political this morning, The devil in
the pants suit made me do it.
Have
a good weekend E-v-e-r-b-o-d-y!
