Well, we made it. Now it's just time to pack up all the torn and crumpled wrappings and scattered ribbons and smile at each other and say thanks for wonderful days and years; wonderful life. Just one God damn happy life filled with people to love. And thanks for everything that goes so well. and for the strength we somehow manage to find when things are a little less good than usual.
As much as things are being reinvented to be contemporary, I will never stop believing that Charles Schultz got it right with his “Charlie Brown Christmas”. So have a happy super day everybody!
(Notice below how Linus drops his secruty blanket when he says “Fear Not”. Just one of those little subtilties that Schultz was so good at. Like telling this magnificent story of Christmas so simply:
