Too Much.

Today's Tids Issue 5,928

In the distance:

“Like ships passing in the night” is a phrase that can make you think.

I still have to ask the question, are we somewhere or nowhere after the Trump Xi meeting. China seems to be agreeing that what Trump reported was accurate – we get rare earths and China gets a reduced tariff. And there is more about freedom of chip sales and China buying soybeans. Former trump adviser Kelley Ann says, “The US and China are going in different directions. It's really about managing the breakup in a way that does a limited amount of damage...” If you read between all the lines, its really about rare earths. And there is a long way to go for total final agreement.

In a little-known move yesterday Chipotle cut their forecasts for revenue for the third Q in a row. The reason says management: “A particular reason is our ppredominance of 25–35-year-old customers, who are facing several headwinds including unemployment, loan repayment and slower real wage growth.” People talk about this posible economy alteration, but Chipotle is giving us the numbers.

How many of you belive in telekinesis: Raise my hand.

The Senate enacted laws to bar tariffs on Brazil and Canada. Now, just now, they have joined to bar Trumps use of: The International Emergency Economic Powers Act to order tariffs on all countries of the world. Finally rational thinking. Unfortunately, getting these acts passed in the House will be difficult.

The Question:

What superpowers would people want most?

The Headlines:

--Trump Calls Xi Meeting a “12” on the 1-10 scale.

--Dow Up but Nas Down “Street Bristles at Sky-High AI Spending by Meta”; Investors Now Looking at Apple and Amazon Reports Due After the Bell.

--There are no Rap Songs in the Pop Top Forty for the first time in 35 years.

--Trump Orders the Pentagon to Immediately Start Testing Nuclear Weapons; This in Reaction ot Events Staged by Countries “Like Russia and China.

--Pentagon Readying Thousands of Guards “Quick Reaction” Forces as US (Inner City) Mission Widens.

--Target to Return to its Lustrous Roots to beat back “Alarming Sales Decline.

--King Charles Bro Andrew Stripped of “Prince” Title.

--Two New Polls Have it 57-27% Against Demolition of East Wing and 61—25% Against the Way he Hadled It. Polls are Yahoo/YouGov and Wapo/BC.

Do you think that Wall Street might just have been looking for something better from the Mag seven -- A big Oops! It seems so far. Liek AI progress to justify high valuations.

The very last thing we should want the government to normalize is the sight of Soldiers on our streets.

The TidsPickers continued a bit of a revival, but making up for losses is tough when dealing with percentages. We are now 73.5-44.5 (62%). Tonight is puzzler because Miami and Baltimore have both been so bad. I think Miami is worse, I pick Ravens. Unquestionably the most anticipated game is Buffalo-Kansas City featuring what must be the two premiere QB’s, Josh and Patrick. I think Buffalo has holes but not in Allen's heart. KC’s Team is rounding into shape and Iit will beat the determination that Josh always brings to a game. Another tough pick Denver and Hoston, especially after last week when Hoston showed what was promised. But I still have to stay with the Broncs. Indy-Pitt is intriguing mainly because Indy is suddenly very good and the Steelers are the Steelers. No ”D” in Pittsburgh but I think they will sneak a win. The last of the toughest picks is San Fran versus the NY Giants. The Giants have shown flashes at times, but they just lost supremo rookie runner so Dart will be befuddled and Mac will not make mistakes giving the Niners a win.

Moving on, we have the so-called easier picks which this year tended ti undermine pickers. I have to pick Green Bay over Carolina, Chicago over Cinn and I like the Chargers over Tennessee and the Rams over the Saints. The two also-rans Jax and Las Vegas is a difficult pick, but I’ll go Jags. Two other tough ones are Dallas and Arizona and Washington versus Seattle. Washington is in trouble and Seattle is playing great, go Seahawks. Do you realize that Dallas is last in defense in the league? But Arizona is lost so I'll pick Dallas. My beloveds play an Atlanta team that has been up and down this year. But the Pats have been resourceful, seeming to have a newfound ability to analyze and adjust. I am a homer and I am again this week

King Charles strips his brother of his Prince title. In America wed send out a publicity team to change the subject and the focus of the people.

Jamaica says that Melissa caused total devastation. Now there is something human beings should focus on.

Up here in Rhode Island a lot of people are hoping Trump will ride in on a white steed with bundles of newfound cash to save Snap. 14% of RI'ers need Snap. That’s quite amazing in itself. If there was no money, people would find tier own way.

The overuse of “Emergency” to validate government orders is a very dangerous path for any nations.

I get CBS Sports app notifications. But too often I can’t see the story promised by the headline sent, Another digital pet peeve.

The Answer:

Number one is Flight followed by Super Strength, Telepathy, Super Intelligence, Eternal Youth and Super Sex man. Don’t shoot the messenger. I just find lists. I always enjoyed Plasticman/

Gotta go... again. See you tomorrow.
