My profound wish for this Labor Day is that it won’t be so long until the jobs are opening up again. That business owners will be able to climb out of their holes and hire again. If there ever was two-way street in labor/management relations, the Covid era is it.

 

Yesterday’s 1,000-point drop on the Dow was not a surprise at all. It’s September, the market is acquiring runaway tendencies and investors are checking their brakes.

 

Labor Day weekend has always been memorable to me. It has in the past always been the time for a great family gathering at our little cottage by the shore; the annual family pic trying ot get everybody bot smile, the kids gathering buckets of sea creatures, and of course the food. It has also always been the exact day when my grill runs out of gas. Yikes!

Huge expanses of nothing but heat absorbing macadam just sits there and stores sold sol’s heat, releasing it during the evening and night. The planet never cools. Tonight, we will see a “Corn Moon”. It is a beautiful event that only occurs every three years. The moon will seem overwhelming, beyond belief at times, and here is glistens across the sea. Something to brighten these days of disruption anticipating bright and upbeat at night. The good news – no humans involved, just nature at its best.

 

How much further up can a stock market go in an economy that keeps reporting big layoffs and furloughs? That is the question

 

Our town is offering mobile parking spot and lot app. It basically tells the world where you car is under the guise of allowing you to see how much time is left before you get ticketed. What bothers me are headlines for stories that proclaim what’s “In” or “Out” in the fashion or home decor world. How on earth could something dear to me be considered “out” by some stranger who hasn’t a clue about how I view life and he beauty around me. I am me, and you all are you, and you probably are capable of figuring what’s new or passé. I have several 1983 suites that still look pretty good in my closet. So I’m basically contented.

They say that all every NFL football Player wants in life is a championship ring for winning the Superbowl. That’s the mission, to be the best. Josh Gordon, the mercurial super talented pass catcher said the same and received his ring due to the Patriots good will after they voted him one despite his being suspended again for you know what. Two days ago, Josh sold his Ring for $138,000. I guess winning isn’t everything, after all.

Normally the September full moon is closest to the equinox and named the Harvest Moon. But this year the full moon closet to the equinox is in October, so tonight we have what is now called the “Corn Moon.” I think it is night when people tell jokes from the Tids.

 

I was watching a Guy’s Grocery Games competition last night. The category was making a totally decadent meal One guy, who was very good lost because he used Kale, the opposite of decadent. It’s a guilt-rid ingredient. Like I ate two pounds of butter and bacon grease but its’s ok because it touched kale. How weird has this world become.

 

When selling a house, of course getting your dough is really important, But, when selecting a winning bid in multiple buyer situations there are other conditions to evaluate. Establish priorities in the beginning. Is the closing day a hardship, or is there a moving target date that may become financially interruptive? Next check conditions of sale like inspections and appraisals. Third, examine money offers closely. Which offer includes the most earnest money. Lastly, be aware of unusual requests, unnecessary repairs and demands of furniture, appliances. It’s pretty much common sense, but when the big dollars loom often the eyes cloud over and miss little annoyances.

A tune from a piano lingers in my room, and I listen; to the peace, and the feeling of happiness it brings.

 

That’s what happens when I start typing when there is music in the room. I guess it is a more hopeful start than one of vitriol and commentary on vicious, irreconcilable politics.

 

If it wasn’t for a couple of hot pop stocks, it appears that the broader big stocks are churning, with flickering greens and reds throughout the day. The boards look like an indecisive traffic signal with a faulty on-off switch.

 

My jokes must be getting bad, because everybody is sending me new ones.

 

Joe Kennedy’s grandson Joe got trounced by super Progressive Ed Markey last night (AOC is delighted). It was the first time a Kennedy has ever been defeated in Massachusetts. Personally, I thoughthe was an underwhelming ccndiadtes despiteishis istoric name sand youthful good looks.

September is usually a time when the Bears start moving on Wall Street.. Although, right now some are quite surprised at the strength of the Stock markets these early days of the nineth month. Two of the hottest, which have been the basis of retail investor enthusiasm – Tesla and Apple. Tesla’s lofty valuation is making seasoned professionals nervous. A lot are pinning those high valuation hopes on the possibility of a million-hour battery supposedly to be a big announcement on September 22. And, then there is Apple. How long can it go like it has been? I think it is too high, but that’s just me.

 

In a very popular dining area in downtown Providence restaurant owners have been working extremely hard to create ways to keep their businesses going, safely. Last night as diners were enjoying their meals groups of protesting clowns walked among the outdoor tables shouting and screaming. This is not about BLM at all, it’s about changing USA society. BLM is looking more like cover for something ideologically nefarious.

Yesterday, because one city didn’t grovel at her feet endorsing her school opening plan, she angrily said she will help parents sue their own town. She sitting on over a billion Fed dollars which was designed Under Stimulus 1 to help struggling businesses, and there are plenty of those. She is on deck with the life preserver while they slowly drown. I think she views our state as globalist views the world. Czar Gina.
