For Others:
If
you ask me, I think one of the things people love
most in life is a pat on the back from someone who notices what they are doing
well, for a good idea or acknowledging a little act of kindness.
I’m
sure you have been reading a lot about the Women’s March
for Life slated for this weekend. You’ve probably been overwhelmed with local
news channel’s happy vignettes about women eagerly creating signs for life, and
a peaceful march in DC. Not! Let’s see, there are expected to be 500, 000 plus
(650K in 2014). This is a march for those have no vote. And the media doesn’t
care. Maybe they need a foul mouthed actress on their side…instead of the smile
of a new born child.
My
face was becoming gray,
But, old sun came out today.
So I’ll just feel this warmth for me
And share it with all those I see!
TeenSpeak:
“Internal Monologue” = Thinking.
Trump has
inherited a fairly stable economy, with what is economically considered
near full employment and a string of months of positive job creations. So,
what’s the problem? Let’s assume that the unemployment is being measured now as
it has been for years, so that the counter argument that it is lower because
people have stopped looking for jobs or are working in jobs beneath their capability
is not applicable with regards to history. Let’s instead look at the much
ballyhooed “consecutive months of job creation”. The problem is that the population
is entering the jobs market at a rate that is greater than the creation of
jobs. This is pure and simple an economic fact. Shifting unemployment numbers
into the “Out of the jobs market column just cannot sustain a “1st”
World economy. In other words, measuring unemployment on an historical basis is
not acceptable in an economy that is not creating enough jobs for a growing
population. Yeah, I know that the population growth is slowing too, but it is
not slowing as fast as job creation. Creating jobs is much more than about
getting votes. It’s an absolute necessity for the future, no matter where you
create them, be it ideological industries like alternative energy or the good
old fashion jobs like steel making. We need it all.
The
Question:
Queen Elizabeth 2 has been reigning for nearly 70
years. QE 1 was also one of the great monarchs. Who was her mother? Bonus: How many children have been
aborted since RvW?

About
the only thing I have heard from people who have actually seen
Oscar favorite “Manchester by the Sea”, is that it is depressing.
By
the way newcomers to the Tids, Typos are the norm in this
daily column in case you haven’t already noticed. I never professed to being a
good editor. Just pretend that typos are the man behind the curtain and don’t
pay any attention to them.
I
still don’t like the idea of US Government penalties
against US companies
Interestingly,
Trump had a great meeting yesterday with Union leaders – according to them. In
fact, the union people say they were treated better by him than by any previous
Prez, Dem of Repub. Now he should meet with Hispanic and Black delegations.
Last
night the number 1 and 2 rated NCAA basketball
teams lost – Villanova to Marquette and Kansas to West Virginia. Marquette has
been coming on beating a powerful #7 Creighton team in their previous game.
And, West Virginia after stumbling badly at home against Oklahoma came back
with vengeance against #2. Basketball is much better now that many premiere
players prefer to play for second tier colleges rather than sit on the benches
of the so-called elite same 5 or 8 teams each year. There’s nothing better in sports
than anybody can win leagues. Next objective: Getting rid of “One and Done”.
One
of the problems with admin transitions is throwing
out babies with the bathwater. The same could be said for those throwing out
America with Trump.
Want
to buy a big shopping mall cheap? You don’t have to look
far as the big new trend in retailing is investors in malls walking away from
debts, handing malls back to banks and other financial institutions who then
just want unload them. We just lost the circus and now the future of America’s
other favorite pastime, fighting for bargains in malls, is looking bleak.
Oh,
and did you see where Ringling Brothers had been paid $9.3
Million by the ASPCA? It was over the animal rights organization’s claims of
elephant abuse by the grand old circus. It turns out that the eyewitness to the
alleged abuse was paid for testimony and was totally not credible. But, the
truth never has stopped activists, and they finally brought down the circus.
You didn’t see that reported in newspaper or in little vignettes on local TV
news. Ten media must like fraudulent animal lovers better than hard working
circus performers.
I
always thought the elephants looked
like they were having fun and were really happy. But then, I’m not as smart as
single minded activists.
President
Trump is one of those guys who never checks Snopes. One of
his staff should be assuming that post for the good of everybody including
himself.
The
Atlanta Falcons are opening eyes of the experts who
were generally fixated on familiar long time favorites like Dallas. These sport
sycophants won’t take long to jump upon that new bandwagon. I just hope the
Patriots don’t become the stepping stone to an Atlanta dynasty. Now, I am
getting nervous. The Pats at one time were the Falcons, and look at us now.
Sports
experts are a lot like animal rights activists who have
trouble seeing the bigger picture.
Speaking
of pivots, Jerry Brown may have to make the trip to Washington
DC to get to know the Trumpster a little better. Yes, there is concern coming
from Moonbeam’s office that the era of California liberalism could take a hit,
and the thought is that a little hand holding by Brown could be helpful. If it
gets really bad, the Celebs will retreat to their palaces and tweet for the little
people.
The
Parking Lot: The recap continues below.
The
Answer:
The Mother of Queen Elizabeth 1 was none other than
Anne Boleyn, who’s life was aborted by a true misogynist, Henry the VIII. Bonus:
Since 1973, estimates by the US center for Disease Control (CDC) say that about
58,586,256 baby’s lives have been taken. It appears that the good news is that
legislative action and education are contributing to a steady decline in the
rate of abortions. However, the rate of pregnancy is declining also, So the
pro-abortion groups will tell you that woman still like abortions despite
efforts against them While those who feel for each potential child will see positive
effects from the evidence of decline.
I’m going to
take a long walk
and look for some people to pat on the back. I’ll probably get arrested for
assault. But, but, but…officer…!
The Parking Lot:
In
this episode below you get a feel for Nancy Joachim, the decedent of the Hicks
son and the daughter of an Wampanoag chief. In his scene she is seen for the first
time that she is in serious danger from what appears to be organized criminals.
Up to this points there have been subtle signs of the threat which has put some
of her friends in danger. She holds the secret to the control of hundreds of valuable
acres which all of a sudden with the advent of a planned Casino, everybody
wants. They can’t get it without her.
Nancy Joachim
was an incredibly beautiful woman, which was probably the result of her
heritage. Her family’s rich past included lines to the Plymouth Colony and the
Pacasset tribes of Squanto. In addition to her intriguing facial structure and
deep feeling eyes, she had a sense of the lands that had been a part of her
family for generations, for centuries.
She was moving swiftly now, but quietly as
she kept the slow-moving fat thug duo in check. She was confident in herself
now that she had retaken control; confident there would be no new surprises.
She reached another of her hidden nests by the roadside well before the
cumbersome duo emerged from her long drive way. Their shirts looked soaked and
their handkerchiefs were busy blotting the sweat trickling down their generous
necks. Their sorry appearance didn’t make them any less dangerous, so Nancy
backed a little into the bushes. The men walked up the street about fifty yards
and crossed to a small side lane, where she now noticed a little car parked
just beyond the trees. She would have to be more careful and notice things from
now on. Everything all of a sudden seemed to matter. She was the hunted, and anything
could be something.
When she was sure they had driven well out
of sight, she ran down her path to the point where she had hidden the bike near
her car. She took it out of its spot, checked that her car was still well
hidden, and rode down the path, now past her house to an opening that brought
her to the shore of Watuppa Pond behind her home. She droped the bike in the bushes and pushed a large canoe
into the still waters.
Nancy felt her heart pumping. It wasn’t
because she was paddling her canoe hard from her home landing, across the lake
to a small island, also part of the Joaquim heritage. She could paddle with
ease, as her muscular athleticism helped drive the paddle deep into the cool
waters, pushing the light craft forward at a fast, steady speed. She didn’t
want to be out in the open long. She loved the thrill of aching muscles.
It was her
mind that was expending all of the energy, that had her juices flowing,
igniting her instincts. She had become excited about taking control. And her
brain was actively sending ideas for consideration and rejection. She was going
to become the hunter.
Over
the past month since the city boys had come to her small town with big plans,
she had been carefully plotting a strategy to undermine their presumed
entitlement to smother the place in consumerism. Growth was not a good word
around here.
Ever since that night when she stopped at
the local Newport bar below the parking lot, her control and her plans began
unraveling. First, she decided to have another beer after her coffee house
waitress friend Amanda left to get home for a little sleep before her early
morning job. Her second mistake was returning the look from a large stranger at
end of the bar. Maybe it was all of the anger building over the development
proposals, which she considered an attack on her neighbors and past. She found
herself liking the idea of a little tension release. The big, good looking guy
was beginning to look like a gift from the gods, as she ordered another beer.
Before she could finish ordering, a beer arrived with a strong hand attached to
the glass. Mistake number three: She left the bar with him.
