Today's Tids Issue

For Limitations:
A
woman editor of Vogue Teen Magazine, Lauren Duca, who I
expect probably accuses Trump of causing the divide in the USA, had this to say
about Billy Graham: ‘Respecting the dead’ only applies to people who weren’t
pieces of sh*t while they were living.”
Loud
complainers at a restaurant tend to ruin the evening for all
in the relative vicinity of the commotion. I notice that most of the loud complainers
think they are entirely correct (And heroes, heroines of their timid brethren)
but the slur in the vice always gives them away. Dealing with the public is not
always the greatest career path.
Factory
outlets may be losing out to traditional retailers who now
have to offer better-than-FO discounts just to stay open. Of course, factory
outlets long since obfuscated the term “factory” outlets.
The

A list called the Top 15 Most influential Web sites

Suing
for harassment in the work place seems to be going beyond
accusations of egregious sexual demands to employees complaining about “mean”
bosses actually asking that they do the work for which they are being paid.
Actually,
originally, I had casually written the above sentence
ending with the ultimate sin against grammar – a preposition. That reminds me
of a Winston Churchill comment after being accused by grammarians of ending a statement
with a preposition: “That is not the sort of errant criticism up with which I will
not put.
Some
of the scariest stuff in print is written by leftist personalities
like, for one, Joy Reid.
The
poem that will not go away, Department:
A reader writes, “Who knew that a little poem about
a manatee cast out there just for the halibut would have so many people flexing
their response mussles. At least they aren’t carping.
From
what I have read about Fordham U grad Lauren Duca, it
appears that she has written the gospel of Trump haters: “Donald Trump is
gaslighting America.”
When
I see birds, I always chirrup. Ok, shoot me.
Some
states, and now it appears the Federal government, are
looking into taxing millage. That should be great for regional tourism. Not.
I
just read that the Olympic honchos have accused a Country
of Doping their curling athletes. Doping curling athletes? To sleep?
Uber
has just announced a new service called “Pool Express”. To
me it sounds basically like a mini-bus service that uses a smart phone.
There
may be one less North Korean cheerleader. One was
caught on film cheering the accomplishment of a US athlete. But, Mr. Kim…
“Gaslighting”
seems to be a Contemporary version of the word, “Brainwashing”. Lauren Duca is brainwashing
her readers into believing that Trump is gaslighting.
A
friend of mine said she didn’t understand cloning. I said, “that
makes two of us”.
The
Answer:
#1 is Google -- The search engine that changed search
and now does just about everything. The rest are Amazon, Wikipedia, FaceBook,
You Tube, Craig’s List, Yahoo, Drudge Report, EBay and info.cern.ch. Info.cern.ch
was the first website, and the brain child of Tim Berners-Lee who invented the World
Wide Web. You can check the history of the web at that site, which still looks like
the first site you ever saw.
So,
thanks, Tim Berners-Lee, for twitter nation. I think it was
better when a couple of guys discussed things over a beer or seven or eight in
a bar. The rest of us didn’t have to deal with it.
