Contentment is good:
Aah... how Wall Street is that. Yesterday they got what they used to call good news and worried about bad news possibly coming at some unknown date. Which by that time might not be bad news at all.
When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane
People selling things love hysteria because people stop thinking about what they are buying.
Hats off to the Buffalo NY Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for their work that may lead to a cancer vaccine. I have found in my days plodding the daily routine of earths that great people are found every whether in little towns and forgotten cities, and their ideas are often profound. The grass is a often greenest in your own front yard.
I always told my wife the old saying "the grass is always greener on the other side." I wish I didn't because now she divorced and married my neighbor.
I guess I am really hoping that ex-marine Daniel Penny never sees the inside of a jail. Ranting people in a small space where there is no escape can be very scary and Penny and several others sought to stop the ravings ...especially today when people seem routinely murdered in public places by perfect strangers.
The Question:

Our RI governor looks like a congenial guy but continues to prove himself just another political hack beginning back when he gave $3000 raises to a selected group of his favorite union supporters and now as he tried to hide embarrassing evidence in an episode about the unethical doings featuring a high-ranking government slug -- a blatant act of misguided cronyism. But... he’ll probably just get reelected. Thats the way it is.
I have to find a way to get in more swimming. I have always loved it and lately it is just too much of a hassle to get to an overcrowded beach.
Sleeping comes so naturally to me, I do it with my eyes closed.
Word of the day: Chyron. In the way it was used in an article about Fox News anti Biden Hi-Jinx, I thought it meant inane, mean spirited, hateful. It is actually a term that defines “a text-based graphic overlay displayed at the bottom of a television screen or film frame, as closed captioning or the crawl of a newscast.” Why didn’t they just say scroll?
Jargon is annoying. A lot of people appear smart simply because they use a different language to define the same thing depending on what business or institution, they are a part of. Did you ever listen carefully to a B-School graduate describe a relatively simple business situation?
You will be able to watch the US Open at a reasonable time even as it is in LA because they are starting there at 9:45 AM.
My ex-girlfriend still misses me. But her aim is starting to improve
Part of the reason we are still in an inflation wave is that companies selling to consumers have learned that consumers still buy into all of those old Covid bred reasons that added to the cost of goods. Now they raise prices to add margins to satisfy investors and bludgeoned buyers just fall in line.
There is so much I don’t need
Why should I just keep on buying
To satisfy corporate greed.
So CEO’s and such can succeed
While my wallet continues to bleed.
The grass is always greener on the other side. Since the light has to travel longer to reach your eyes, and more of the long-wavelength light is absorbed underway. So theree you have it. Stay home.
