Today's Tids Issue 5,943
Timeless:
Isn’t it interesting that it has been recently announced that researchers have verified the discovery of two previously unknown works of Johanne Sebastion Bach, arguably the greatest composer ever and certainly one of the most prolific; that we are still finding his genius in forgotten corners. Yet today, every piece of music written, great and awful, will be preserved on miillions of phones. I wonder what else history has lost.
With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it's only a matter of time before we get a country song where a guy's truck leaves him too.

I think one of the great sports puzzlements is whether or not to vote HGH abusers into the Baseball Hallof Fame. Bonds and Clements are among the greatest ball players ever known, I guess the question is, would they have been that good without the availability of power enhancing drugs. Has anybody empirically answered that question?
Correction: Yesterday I reported the Amazon Worldwide employment at 158 million based on a story I read. I thought at the time it looked incredulous a bit, which is exactly why I used it. But, alas, Amazon employs a mere 1,550,000. But the number 1 of 135 employed Americans still seems accurate.
Ghosts are just humans who died trying to fold a fitted sheet.
Trump is no King Slomon and he would be wise to think first before talking.
Well, it is no surprise. First Texas redistricted in favor ofRepubs and the blue states did the same in favor of Dems. Now a judgee has blocked Texas and the Admin will find their judges block California. And then both sides will appeal. Finally, it will be back to what it was before spending millions of dollars. Yes, back to arguing over DWTS.
RI will never have a redistricting problem. It's 90% dem.

Greatness as a description of composers is usually reserved for the innovators. Simplistically, Mozart brought us beyond Bach while Beethoven elevated the creations of Mozart. There are many great ones like Brahms, Mendelsohn and Shubert who write great muicin the Beethoven mode, but it is Ludwig Von who is celebrated for getting them there. And even in Pop music we had the innovators like Gershwin to Goodman to Kenton to The Beatles. And yes the great rockers who broke the mold and delivered something truly new. We remember the musicians who made traditional better. Great music lives on.
Here's a piece by Bach that lives on today, Peace at last.
