Today's Tids Issue 5,948
Burp!
I hope you all aren’t reading this stuck in a car in traffic or in an airport waiting for a cancelled plane. I hope you are aloft in a hot air balloon, adrift over the confusion and anger, and feeling the touch wispy clouds, feeling the love of all whom you know.
Speaking of hot air, it is the day before TDay Tids. Hopefully it will be stuffed with delicious factoids and finish drizzled in scrumptious chocolate. Do you know at the beginning of this nearly quarter century mess, I debated whether to call it Today’s Tids or Today’s Toids, for Tid Bits and factoids.
As one morning comic strip reminded us this morning. you don't receive gifts because it is not Thanksgetting.
The Question:

The ole TidsPickers have been sharp lately with another 13-2 last week. Now at 119.5-58.5 (67%). But, this looks like a killer week. We begin early with three games tomorrow and one Friday. Neither the Pack or Lions are up to preseason predictions. I’ll go Detroit. Cincy is better than their record, and Burrow is back, But Baltimore is a better team. KC is playing Dallas. This is a very interesting matchup. The Cowboys surprised everybody last week. KC squeaked by. But. I'm going the Chiefs. The Friday game is another tough pick only because Philly faded badly last week while the Bears continue hot. But I'll stick with the Eagles. Finally Sunday: I'll take the Falcons over the Jets, Chargers over the Raiders and Jags over the Titans. The Niners and Browns is a curious game. The Bronn's D is good and San Fran makes mistakes. But I’ll take Shanahan's coaching. Indiana may have had their glory early/ I think Houston is showing everybody they’re something more than Stroud. I go Texans.
Moving along, Ill start with true mystery game between two teams who both need wins badly. Arizona and Tampa Bay. Mayfield may not play, but I don't know that today. I'll stay with the Bucs. Probably not smart. New Orleans is fading fast and Miami is showing life/ I'll go Dolphins. The Vikes maybe among the most disappointing teams of the year Seattle will beat them too. Buffalo isn't so magical after all, But Pitt just isn't the old resilient Steelers this year. The Bills win the battle of West New York/Pa. How can I not pick Denver against last year's surprising Commanders but who this year are disappointing. I have to pick the Rams over the Panthers. That brings us to Monday night which just happens to feature my Pats and the old rival Giants. I'm worried, even though Giants just fired their D coach and have proved they know how to lose. The Pats have several key injured players all of a sudden. The Giamt’s “O” isn't bad. I expect a close one, but the Pats will win.
One thing that Trump is teaching me is that how silly you can look by uttering sophomoric insults.
I have probably already written too much for most to read as they scurry prepping for Thanksgiving Day. So I’ll slow down early.
Every time I wirelessly transmit a doc to a printer and watch it being produced I marvel at the genius behind the HP technology which to me is so magnificent at a reasoned cost. Now HP is tring to figure out how to be a factor in the next world of technology which may have passed them by.
I'm thankful I have a little Irish blood running though my veins, which somehow keeps me feeling positive about world, and keeps me laughing whenever I can.
Statisticians don’t Quite understand my view of life.
Imagine that a holiday when people can be happy without receiving gifts, There's hope for humanity.
This is actually a full bodied Tids... if you like football picks.
The Answer:
I addition to Turkey people love Chicken, Duck. Guinea Hen, Goose and in Australia, Ostrich. Don't forget pheasant and quail among the tastiest. Woodcock are also a favorite though too dry for me. And one of the most popular game birds is the ubiquitous Canada Goose. Now, if they became popular, it would be great for golf courses. And even better for the bottoms of golf shoes.
Thankful.
