Today's Tids Issue 6,170
Grass:
Oer this Northeast way,
It's a rather dreary day
As I start this foray,
I find I must delay
Nothings more astray \,
Than my matter grey.
Not that Chief executives are sheep, but I expect many a baseball chief will be clamoring to dissect the Milwaukee Brewers formula now after they swept Hall of Famers from Glitterville. And that bodes awful for the Red Sox not paying for a good hitter.
Today, Paramount formally closed the deal for Warner Brothers. Consumers will be affected as the combined must manage an equally laviathan $89 Billion debt demanding an annual search for $6 Billion in savings. $6 Bill is a lot to find each year. Consumers will feel it in increased streaming costs for an HBO/Paramount bundle's, Film makers will eschew extreme luxury on locations. Thei will a have a noticeable effect in the entertainment world. And also, what willbe tehe ffect of the new management on the output of CBS News? Huh?
What happens after the elections when US politicians don't have to worry about the effects of their actions in Iran or other Middle East war zones. And that the prospect of a huge US show of force is exactly why Iran and Houthies have become more aggressive now. Cans of worms behave strangely.
Did you hear about the mathematician who’s afraid of negative numbers? He will stop at nothing to avoid them.
The Question:
A mathematician wanders back home at 3 a.m. and proceeds to get an earful from his wife. “You’re late!” she yells. “You said you’d be home by 11:45!”
How did the Mathmagician get out of this?

While the Paramount broadens a grasp on streaming services Netflix is seeing a slow down in subscription additions and of internal usage by current subscribers. Human beings can just take so much repetition.
Many Dem candidates are calling for the end of the Iran war. If the US ends it we now have an angry nation sitting there planning a lifetime of revenge. Nothing is easy.
A recent finding by statisticians shows the average human has one breast and one testicle. Figure it out/
But, its Friday and we are entering a weekend where we can rid ourselves of woes,
There are a couple of pretty interesting college football games on tap for tomorrow, One good one should Notre Dame (2) and BYU (8). The Catholics and the Mormans and nobody really knows how good BYU may be. Next we have the game that last year launched Indiana (5) to the stars when they Beat Ohio State (4). While they are neck and neck in the ratings, OS may be too deep. The ACC has a big neighborhood rivalry game featuring 5-1 Duke against UNC coached by Belichick looking for respectability. Florida Texas has a chance to be interesting. Of course, I'll be looking for my Undefeated Lehigh U team to continue against a tough Cornell eleven. And that could be a good game.
With the cost of Coke and Pepsi products through the roof for the past year or so, you wonder how these to bigs are making it. Well they make it quite well through fast food chain sales. Oops Not so fast Pepsi, Coke just ate your lunch at Yum Brand nebbing KFC:s 14,000 stores which will now be serving coke The fizzle feels fuzzier because Pepsi spun off Yom which owns KFC, PIzza Hut and Taco Belle. Ooops.
What was Beethoven’s favorite fruit? Ba-na-na-naaaaaa!
It;s tough for a new Press Secretary when she spends her first hours backtracking. People are smarter than politicians, and their minions think they are. (I wrote this this morning before the firing)
Canada is really worried about Alberta voting to go independent. They are worried about what the US might do because of that chink in teir unified provinces, 1t is expected Alberta will remain part of Canada but it is also expected that idea of separation will not disappear, maybe arise in a generation. Is it sad that countries now have ot worry about what the US might do to them?

The ultimate English countryside music to accompany a romantic romp through lush fields is by Geroge Butterworth.
Shut-in's come up with the damndest things.
Wars never end. Let;s understand tatas a premise,
“God, how long is a million years?”
“To me, it’s about a minute.”
“God, how much is a million dollars?”
“To me, it’s a penny.”
“God, may I have a penny?”
“Wait a minute.”
The Answer:
“Actually,” the mathematician replies coolly, “I said I’d be home by a quarter of 12.”
Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y@@
