Today's Tids Issue 3,077
Opening Stuff:
You know, life
today is about the new “beeps” that people bring into your life. World denizens
are being defined by the beeps they carry through their day-to-day glories and
setbacks. People are defined not by te smiles on their faces and love in their
hearts but by the machines that carry them through the day. If you hear strange
beeps in the night, it usually means there’s a person in your guest room. Oh,
the accommodations we make to live in a progressive world.
If the NCAA changes
athletes team transfer restrictions and adds pay to college players, the
small schools will just become farm teams for the big schools.
The Question:
Name five well known child actors who died young.

I think baseball was
better before video replay. The outcomes in the grand old game is often
based on the consequences of flow. With replay interrupting or changing the
natural flow of the game, baseball will be like going back in time and
mistakenly stepping on an ant that would change the course of history. I say
dump it now and let the players and humans determine the game. You can count on
one hand the number if mistakes that changed the course of a game in a decade.
No, Harry, I can’t
play car crash right now.
It cost Auburn
University 3.1 Million just to bring the football team, Official college
dignitaries, band and support crews to the BCS championship game. $3.1 mil in
travel costs for one game. And leagues think it’s a good idea to add more teams
that are further and further away. This ain’t your grandfather’s college football
anymore. Rah, Rah…Sis Boom Bah, the nuttiness has gone too fah!
The head of the American
Islamic Forum For Democracy, Zuludi Jassor, said yesterday that the White House
doesn’t have the courage to use the word “Muslim” or “Islamist” when discussing
extremist tendencies. He adds, and this is so typical of the “O” admin, “You
can’t have National Security by PR.”.
Before I get to The Voice,
I have to tell you that I’ve been badgered by a reader to do more on Dancin’.
To me that’s like going into a strange battlefield like Afghanistan. But, I
will find a way. That’s what I do.
I personally enjoyed
every act last night. I didn’t perceive any acts crying out, “get rid of me”.
Kat will probably stay, but I thought she was off. I personally like Jake, but he
started flat and nervous but came back strong. I like Audra, and she sang one
of my favorite songs. Of course, Josh can be magical, and he was. Kristen
Merlin got trooper of the night recognition, but she is also very good.
Sisaundra is a pro, and TJ and Delvin have great voices. Unfortunately voters
could easily group as similar Bria, Dani, Christina and Tess together, with votes
for one cancelling votes for another. Devlin missed a chance to spellbind and
will be in the bottom three with perhaps Bria, who I like and maybe Dani.
I applaud the person
who has no machines to dominate his or her life. But, I worry that they will
not be able to participate in the future.
Unintended
Consequences, Department:
0-Man and his henchmen assured the Dems of lot of votes from
young people with the program that forgives student loans. It appears that the colleges
are using this free money give-away to raise tuitions and costs to students.
But, may be that was the intended consequence all a long – reward their professor
pals with more taxpayer funded loot.
Maybe kids when
in high school didn’t learn what the word “loan” meant. That’s a distinct possibility
considering that so many kids entering college can’t read nor spell, or do simple
math. But who cares now, It’s free.
Of course, “loan”
really doesn’t mean what it did in the past. With the big indebted government around,
losers from Wall Street to the ghetto
can just walk away and the Gov will bail them out. It’s a crying shame.
In the new era, dying
early means that you don’t have an up-to-date smart phone.
One of the crying
shames in America is the disconcerting frustration among valiant Military
veteran officers as the cuts start to trickle down threatening careers based upon
investment of life and limb to protect fellow citizens. You can read the
papers, but, I know a couple of people at Fort Bragg who have felt the anguish
of not only the brave soldiers but also of wives and children who may be left feeling
there is no future. Am I over dramatizing this? Probably, that’s what I do. Is
it absolutely true? Absolutely yes.
Retired SC Justice
Stevens Says he would change the Constitution. Great…just what this country
-divided against itself needs. Two of his ideas would revolve around changing the
second amendment, giving congress more power over states and opening up
background checks. Another would be on adding campaign finance restrictions. He
would abolish the death penalty and the partisan redrawing of electoral
districts. Somebody will take up his cause and sue somebody.
One of the ads I
dislike is the one from lawyers saying, “Tired of being hounded by creditors?
We’ll help you eliminate your debt through bankruptcy”. These connivers paint
the lender as some kind of evil Godzilla, and encourage debtors to leave them hanging.
This, of course only adds more cost of goods and services for all people.
Five high yielding
Energy Partnerships that can give you near 10% returns are Linn Energy,
BreitBurn Energy, EV Energy, Legacy Reserves and Ferrellgas Partners. A
negative would be in IRA accounts where a portion of dividends would be
taxable.
The Answer:
So many are familiar. Heather O’Rourke – Cute in Poltergeist

Barsi, Dana Plato, Lee Thompson Young Brad Renfro, Carl Switzer, Jnathon
Brandis, Anissa Jones and Bridgette Anderson. You can check out more at http://www.ranker.com/list/30-child-actors-who-died-young/celebrity-lists?format=SLIDESHOW&page=15 ---including Rob Knox who was stabbed to
death defending his brother from an attacker.
No. Harry, you
don’t have to throw up. It’s just psychosomatic.
“Psychosomatic, Granddad?”
Forget about it, Harry. Let me see your starship.
