Opening Stuff:
I’m starting to walk
through crunchy leaves again. It’s a great sound, and a wonderful feeling;
about the inevitable change to come, as the nights cool and dreams of beautiful,
soft snow covered fields are closer to reality. The harbor begins to empty, so
it won’t be long before a quiet walk down a vacant pier will be a lonely one
again. A quiet interlude. I appreciate the beauty of all the places where you
mighty Tidsters live. But to me, there is something special about the way
Autumn envelops New England. And some of you are probably thinking as you read,

This is that time of
year when my estimation of the human race goes down a couple of notches as we
receive reports about the tonnage of trash picked up on beaches, tourist town
streets and other public domains. Even animals keep their nests and dens clean.

Schultz is a caricature of everything I don’t like in a woman. She makes me
cringe.
Actually, DWS
spewing her outrageous and false accusations of Gov. Walker is pretty smart, trying
to take the spotlight away from the stumbling of the White House and it’s CEO.
It’s kind of sad that politics has become so much more important than the truth;
that what’s considered “smart” in politics often goes against human decency.
Isn’t it a shame that the Pols have too much of a big stage.
You got to stop and
pause every time you read of another overdose death of an addict. So far in
RI this year there’s been 42 deaths and 1,012 saves in the nick of time. And,
how many of those saves go back to that edge time and time again. It burns my
heart when I think about the grasp of drugs and other addictions. It’s easy to
say that people did it to themselves, and people who are successful at
repelling the devil will admit that. But, the grasp is powerful, a vice around
a welcoming brain, and it hurts my heart at the
My problem in golf
is repeatedly trying to make shots which are totally beyond my ability to
execute.
Has the Waste
Management Company become the like new IRS in its intimidation of the
public? From where I sit all of these new demands from this behemoth garbage collector
only serve to meet corporate goals with little concerns for the needs of
taxpayers. We pay taxes to have our stuff picked up. It used to work just fine,
until it became part of a business plan. At least they can’t do that in India. Or
can they?
I don’t feel like
the great Satan.
I was going to
comment on the conviction of ex-Virginia Gov. McDonald, but I think I’ll
just wait for the next dishonest politician, which is inevitable.
The word is out
that the Leaks by Snowden are helping ISIS evade the US. Don’t you just love
Twitter, and Instagram and LeakedIn?
What Rhode Island
needs for a couple of years is a good conservative dictator.
Reading Between the
Lines Movie Reviews:
--Just one today and the reviews are mixed. In one review The
“Identical” barely made it out of the Dreadful category. Two boys separated at birth
because of poverty during the depression come of age in different arenas, one
as an Elvis like rock star and the other fighting for balance between his love
of music and his parents guiding him to the ministry. Predictably, they feel
that identical twin pull and we watch the journey as their lives intersect
accidentally. The problem some reviewers seem to have is that it comes off as
hollow and does not do justice to the reviewers images of Elvis.
The Answer:
Base molding which
finishes the walls to the floor should match window trim It can be made ot look
extensive or fairly simple. Crown Molding
is a preferred wall finish at the ceiling. Cornice
Molding is an elaborate top of wall finish that would ru much deeper than
Crown, and is often built up using several pieces of trim. It can be ornate as
in dental molding or accessorized with acanthus leaf or egg and dart. Wall moldings such as chair rails can add
softness to walls. Other wall moldings are picture rails and friezes. They help
break up higher ceiling walls. Panel
Molding covers and adds relief large surfaces, and is used often below
chair rails. Typically the panels will match that of the doors. Something to think
about as you redecorate your home during the icy, snowy winter.
The other problem I
have with golf is that I am a day dreamer. Not that any of you care. And in
reality shouldn’t care a whit. You have your own lives and if I had a heart, I should
be caring for all of you. Your downs and your amazing accomplishments. That’s what
I should be doing.
