The swamp is drying up.

Today's Tids Issue 3,615
For a quiet place:

The Autumn winds blew, this late spring day.
To remind us, that after stifling summer heat,
Which is just barely some weeks away,
The breezes of Fall will make it again, sweet.

I always get a chuckle when a dog awakens from a comfortable snooze, rises up and walks to watch something on TV.

There appears to be a growing number of legal Hispanic immigrants who agree that Trump is right to limit the easy entry of the lawlessness not willing to wait their turn, like all US immigrants throughout history have done.

The Question:
I was going to ask you to name the Top Pop Songs for 2015, but the only one I had ever heard of was Hello by Adele. The rest were like a foreign language to me, including the names of the groups. (Except Taylor Swift). So here’s your “Q”. What are the best Mountain Bike Brands. This is a good Q for those who ride them, and Parents and grandparents who may have to buy them. Bonus: Phone cameras are nice, but a good digital camera is a must for many photographers. What are considered the best ten Digital cameras?

There is too much technology for technology sake as in -- we got it, let’s use it whether or not we need it. One of the new overkills that is driving me berserk is the automatic confirmation of appointments for anything, which will include a rapid succession of autophone calls, emails and texts. Another is overloading car with more than you will ever need to use. And then charging you extra for it.

It was announced yesterday that the RI GOP had to postpone it’s big Hall Of Fame Bash, a Ceremony which would have inducted party giants Like John Chaffee and Arlene Violet among many. They are hoping that by 2020 there will be some Republicans in the state.

The NRA should be very careful about what cases they want to bring to the Supreme Court.

In case you are interested, Roseanne Barr says it’s Trump over Hillary in her book.

I saw one of those old Vought Corsairs, the great American fighter plane in WWII and Korean War. I figure in the 1940’s I drew that plane in the margins’ of my textbooks over a thousand times. It was a classic, the kind that lights up the dreams m of young lad fascinated with the heroes of the Pacific and Europe. “My Corsair drawing is better than your Corsair drawing. Wanna fight?”

For the last 70 years the country has marched to the tune of the Boomers. And the retirement society will adjust to their needs for the next fifty years.

We once were stymied in the Korean War, and now we are befuddled in the Koran wars.

I know there are some serious female advocates out there who feel women have lowered their morals to attract men who basically have no morals.

Buy stock in the mosquito repellant business.

A pretty astute guy tells me that the politics of the 1820’s was at least as convoluted as it is today. In fact the politics of the country have always been about establishment control, big government versus no government and how to deal with immigrants. We have had brash outsiders who have always been rejected by the insiders who in realty have always controlled America more than the voters. The battles you see today are the same as we have had for centuries. The commentates are just different, and more ubiquitous.

Duh News of the Week:
“Obama endorses Hillary.” “Elizabeth Warren endorses Hillary. Who’s conducting this, Toscanini?

Swamp Yankees are going to have a tougher time in the decades ahead.

I love the commercial showing a clip of Bill Clinton denying  Monica against another eerily similar clip of Hillary denying her illegal Email caper. They both appear to be reading the same script. But that’s the Clinton denial formula, which is so well practiced.

The Defense Department has hopped aboard the express train to bring gender neutrality to the services. The only thing they have missed is the most obvious – Draft for women. If they don’t initiate this draft, than the whole thing is just more PC, double standard BS – Washington at its most frustrating.

I’m sorry San Fran people, but there are some really nutty people on your city council. They continually see boogiemen under their beds. Ooooooh, help me.

A Hispanic woman was quoted as saying, “It’s easier to come out as a Gay than it is to come out as a Trump supporter.”

Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
--Don’t get excited about Now You See Me 2. Not that I got excited about #1. Ts another Hollywood attack apn business men, usingthe quartet of illusionaist ot out Unethical practices of a tech magnate. Thes modern day Robin Hoods – Eisenberg, Harrelson, Franco and caplan – give us some pretty gcool magical effects in their quest to unseat the evil masterminds. But, somehow, say the array of critics, it just doesn’t make it.
--It must be summer approachinbecaue we ave another sequel – Conjuring 2. Tis 2 also falls a littlr but not like the one above. It was one of the better ghost stories and stiil rates high on the scare-o-metere. Our favoriet paranormal investigators jump into one of their most terrifying cases gong to the plagued home of a mother with four children’s in North London. Stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
--Warcraft, based on a very popular game, is sluggish basically bad movie loved by it’s audiences. If you know the game. You’ll probably like it.
--Careful What You Wish For is another mediocre movie (By critics standards) that audiences like. A boy working before college in a wealthy vacation town has an affair with the wife of powerful investment banker neighbor. The town erupts after a suspicious death. And, the young couple become embroiled in a scandal forcing the lad to his limits as he battles deceit and betrayal. Frankly, It sounds interesting to me.

The Answer:
I have heard f a few of these Mountain  Bile brands, but here they are in order starting with #1: Giant, Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, GT, Santa Cruz, Scott, Yeti, Kona and Marida. The answers here came with a lot of comments about personal lies. For instance Marida owners thought they were as good or better than the big better known brands. Specialized got top marks from the commenter’s. But, this is a list on average. Basically, it’s good not to enter a store with a blank “I know Nothing“ look on your face. Bonus: Yes phone lovers, they still sell cameras. Canon gets  the number one nod and is followed by Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Casio, Panasonic, Pentax (Old favorite may be best buy of all), Lumix, Samsung and Kodak. (Remember Kodak…from America.) My first expensive camera was a Vivitar, and it is still on the list.

I figure if you like to get away from the marauding crowds, it will be warm enough to live in the Arctic in about 50 years. Buy your land now! Hey, there is no land in the Arctic! Is that real estate guy from Florida?

Have a good weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-d-y!
