Today's Tids Issue

Against the madding Crowd:
I
love my pleasant little place.
It puts a smile upon my face.
But since the masses discovered,
My psyche has not recovered.
It’s
tough to write this Tids thing in the new era of
lawlessness on the streets of America. I had just finished that little
leave-me-alone ditty to establish a theme for The TT’s when I hear about police
being lured into ambush by somebody who thinks there is a new leniency in the country
for cop killers.
So,
the Repub Convention has started. Who woulda-thunk-it
back in 2015 when the much too long primaries began, that the Grand Old Party
would have to ponder Donald Trump?
A
lot of westerners were secretly applauding the coup in
Turkey with the hopes that it might oust Islamic sympathizer Erdogan. Simply
put, Erdogan wants to be like Iran, and the coup leaders wanted to be like Europe.
Oh, did you read that the USA has about 50 A-Bombs stored at the Turkey airport
taken over by the coup forces? Yikes! Maybe
that’s why Iran accepted the nuke plan – Edogan has the key to the store room!
In
the brighter side, has there ever been a better completive
golf match than Stenson and Michelson going at each other, shot for shot. As
one announcer said, “I feel guilty not having paid to see this.”
Well,
we passed by July 17 and the stock market didn’t tank.
But,
this is the week for big company earnings reports. Hold your breath.
The
Question:
Whether we like it or not, we will have to get to
know new product categories. Name the top five manufacturers of Drones. Bonus 1: Rachmananoff’s 2nd
Piano Concerto is a magnificent listen – one of the best. What popular song of
the 40’s cf came out of the last movement? Bonus
2: PC has changesd the way Americans look at the past and older traditions.
What popular game of your youth might be called Livestock Management Technicians
and Indigenous Peoples today?

It’s
tough to write “nice” in the same sentence with IS.
Left
leaning media are quite snide in their so-called
journalistic efforts to define the attributes of Mike Pence; attributes that almost
all conservatives find admirable. So basically…if the left hates him, he must
be doing something right.
One
of the worst things that can occur, is when a small
pleasant annual event is publicized to the point where it becomes a happening.
One
of the growing concerns is the inevitability of Muslim
communities growing in territorial dominance to the point where some elements
of their community try to introduce Sharia law. It is an interesting paradox,
as the Constitution protects freedom of religion but Sharia law has significant
conflicts with the US constitution. You know some activist legal group will
press the freedom of religion aspects of the Constitution to enable the Muslim contradictory
legal system. How odd is that.
If
tomatoes are technically fruit, is ketchup smoothie?
As
you walk through summer crowds in all venues, the most
common phrase is, “Hot enough for ya”…offered with a smile.
I
read where the state here will be upping tourism promotion.
I can’t figure where they will put all of the additional tourists
Do
you think Joanna Gaines has ever told her pal Chip that his
woodworking effort sucked?
The
Dems have announced a same ole, same ole, speaker line up
that includes Barack, Bill, Joe, Michelle and Bernie – who doesn’t have Hillary
to kick around anymore. Oh yeah, they will have Michael Brown’s mother so the
can keep the anger against police going. Tune me out. Of course, the Repubs won’t
have any traditional speakers because nobody from the past is showing up. But
then, maybe a fresh start is what it is all about.
One
way
to reduce forest fires: Gypsy Moths.
You
can tell where older people live because there are newspapers
thrown onto the drive way or front walk.
A
state or country that gives up and relies on tourism is
actually selling its soul. In a robust
business/manufacturing economy people of other states stay home and send money.
In a tourism economy, people bring the money to the state, then take your spot on
the beach, and eventually demand changes to suit their personal needs. Citizens
lose their roads and seashore or mountains or lakes; their cost of living goes
up, and sadly, at least around here the newspaper in order to make it feel like
home gives more space to the NY Ya, Ya, Ya…(WYKWIM) games. It isn’t pretty
The
Answer;
There many makers of drones, because as with most new
technologies, many companies find a way to develop an entry. The top drones in
sales are DJI. Parrot, Protocol, Yuseec and 3D Robotics. Another list showing
top Drone companies has DJI on top followed by Parrot. The rest in that list
are Syma, Blade, Hubsan and UDI. Keep your eye on those and wait for others to emerge.
Bonus 1: “Full Moon and Empty Arms”
was a pretty big hit in 1945. It was written by Buddy Kay and Ted Mossman based
on the 2nd. The first big recording of it was by Frank Sinatra.
Erroll Garner and many other like Eddie Fisher, Sarah Vaughn, Robert Goulet and
Bob Dylan also had versions. Bonus 2:
I’m sure you all figured out that Livestock Management Technicians and Indigenous
People was Cowboys and Indians. Bang, you’re dead.
All
lives matter. God bless the police.
