For Positive Thinking:
Isn’t
interesting how funny and sunny go together so well. When
people are dour and blue, a laugh will always get them through. And when the mood
is gray, a bright shining sun will make their day. There a many simple ways to diminish
grief, and one of them is certainly belief. But I guess I have many ways rebound
from momentary downs, and misguided frowns. Not by seeking clowns, but reaching
down and turning negatives around…to the sunny side.
A
letter writer to the local newspaper reminds us of a
Bobby Vinton tune which could be a theme for the Hillary campaign: “Careless”.
Consider the lines, “Are you careless as you seem to be; or do you just care
less for me (America)”.

Poke’mon
Go players who blindly follow their phones into
sometimes dangerous areas, are a lot like this year’s voters who will dismiss
their presidential favorite’s shortcomings and lies in order to vote.
The
Question:
Who are these people? Mel Harris, Buddy Foster,
Judi Evans Natalie Desselle Reid. Bonus:
September 21 will be named National Lobster Month. All but one of the six New
England states will be involved. Name that state,

History
has proven that building a wall works. 2000 years ago the
Chinese built a wall and they still don’t have any Mexicans.
One
of the truly great basketball players and humans retired
yesterday. Tim Duncan, the player Rick Petino thought would fall into his lap on
draft day after he became President/Coach of the Celtics, didn’t.. and he went
on to do it all, including turning around the San Antonio franchise. The 15
times all star was brilliant, and performed his magic quietly on and off the
court. He is definitely on my personal all time favorite athletes’ list. I’d
take a team of Tims any day.

Intel
is a helluva company when you consider all of the dramatic
technology paradigms they have faced over the past 35 years or so. They just
keep reinventing themselves to become the core technology for many of the amazing
devices people seem to rely upon to day. I like companies that know when to
start to move away from the past, who always have an eye looking towards the future.
This week, this company most associated with Microsoft, Dell and the rest, moved
past Qualcom as the leading supplier to Apple for IPhone.
Yesterday
a German Mother admitted to killing 9 of her babies.
Should we ban plastic bags and bathtubs?
In
addition to the Dallas massacre, there have been
several ambush murders of police in the past couple of months. How come the President,
governors, assorted pols and media don’t balance their posturing in their rush
to judgment against the police? That’s what bothers me.
Political
power has during the growth of the USA always been
claimed by the maturing minority of the era, who would successfully beat back prevailing
opinions of the day – the Irish, the Italians, the Blacks Women -- and now it
appears that the Gay power base is steaming towards gaining seats, mayoral
offices and legislative power. There are 500 LBGT people serving in elected
government positions and 200 are running for positions in November. That’s just
the way the world changes.
Why
am I not surprised that a nation of lemmings will trend into
the unthinking world of Poke’mon Go?
In
1960, RI was 96% white. Today with the rapid increase in
Hispanics and Asians it is 76%.
The
leftist media went berzerk with that photo of a woman
standing before to heavily fortified police, like they were trying to equate
this with the boy in Tiananmen Square standing before a “Tank.” The police were
protected because their brethren had been ambushed and mowed down in Dallas a
few days earlier. Why does the media have such a tough time being honest,
instead of spreading illusions which are divisive.
There
is no question that anther tradition soon to be buried is
the department store. Amazon Prime and others on line have replaced the need for
one stop shopping Mecca’s. The big merchandisers like Lord & Taylor or Nordstrom’s
is seeing stores eliminated by gigantic mall ownership in favor of
“Attractions”. Mall people are seeing the need for their future as an increase
of small specialty shops and most important the need to add restaurants and amusement
activities to draw people who are satisfied staying home to buy on line. I
wouldn’t be surprised if they mall owners find a way to manipulate Pokemon Go
to drive people into malls. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.
You
have to wonder if progressive Dems will ever
consider Venezuela as they weigh the benefits of socialism and limited
congressional power. Nah, progressives never consider the facts.
The
Answer:
Mel Harris a daughter of a Princeton Football
coach. Born in Bethlehem Pa, she is best known for her roles on Thirty Something.
She has had 5 husbands and is currently single. Yikes. She started out as a
contestant on TV’s Pyramid. She starred in the legal Thriller “Burden of Proof.”
Buddy Foster is the older brother of Jodi. He began as a child actor in Green
Acres and Mayberry RFD. He is best known as the little boy who got more licks
in a Tootsie-Pop commercial. He hasn’t done much since drew into chubbiness. If
you were a “Days of our Lives” fan, then you knew Judi Evans well. Natalie D.
Reid was an actress in many films like Zoe Gone, Madee’s Big Happy Family and
B*A*P*S. She had the leading role n in TVs Eve. Bonus: Land locked Vermont has
nothing to do with lobsters. They don’t go with maple syrup.
Nothing
is ever as bad as it seems, especially when it comes to
human squabbles.
