Today's Tids Issue 3,665
For Absurdity:
There’s an awful
lot of good people in the USA, who in the face of danger, despair and incomprehension,
charge in to make things right…and nobody ever knows
“It’s not my
country”, Department:
It’s
just the money I pledge allegiance to. A teacher says one of the exasperating problems
she and others face in this making America great again world, is the frustration over students shunning a stronger, more responsible society. The refusal of
many students to stand when the class recites the Pledge of Allegiance has become particularly
deplorable to them – and the excuse even worse: “It is not my country”.
Remember back when immigrants could hardly wait to be part of this country; the pride they felt at the hope for a brighter future.. Now
these high school kids -- who’s schooling, and probably other aspects of their
lives are being paid by Americans who wonder what happened to the country they
knew – disregard the opportunity before them.
Interesting that
Hillary
thought the “C” on the emails stood for Clinton instead of Confidential, but
now it means Congress to whom it may mean Criminal.
(Note: The stars
were misaligned
as I sent out my last Tids on Monday morning. Immediately after delivering the latest
pearls to your computer, my brand new computer…crashed!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! But I am putting it back together again, and
hopefully this is the end of my travails. Sorry for missing yesterday and most
of today, one the very few TidsGaps in history.)

is killing this country. Americans used to be tough, resourceful, using ingenuity
to seek a way through hardships, battling discomfort with resolve and common
sense. Now we have country seeking help for everything from driving cars to
cutting fingernails. All of this paid for assistance freeing up time for what –
Exercise! Exercise to hone prefect bodies, to do what? Sit and watch machines
do things for you. There will be nothing left to do. Put me in my cocoon, turn
on the AC and pump in a little Chopin, while electrodes stimulate my muscles.
Extensive
vetting is certainly not knew to America. Most recently defense plants had to extreme
vet to determine potential workers relations with Russia. Russia was an
adversary, and caution was the rule. The difference today is that we are not
fighting a nation per se, but individuals who represent an ideology of hatred
for all non-believers. Some can scoff at the idea of categorizing people, but
there is plenty of evidence that says the person next to you could become your
assassin.
Adele says she
has refused to do the NFL halftime show because the show has never been about
music! (I agree.) But, the NFL says they never asked her. I frankly don’t
believe anything the NFL says any more as they have become just one more giant
bureaucracy filled with individuals trying to keep the gravy train going.
Some are saying that
Hillary’s run for
the highest office is right on schedule; Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in jail
before he became President.
RIP Larchwood
Inn.
You were a beautiful lady for 186 years.
The Answer:
In
1057 Malcom killed Macbeth for killing his father King Duncan. Bonus: The first ship through the
Panama Canal was the cargo ship Arcom. Some say the first trough the canal was
the French canal working crane ship Alexandre Le Valley. Cosco Shipping Panama
was the first to go through the new expanded canal. Super Bonus: The great, mad, rain swept, anything goes weekend was
officially The Woodstock Music and Art fair. Mega Bonus: In 1981 ABBA made history recording on the first ever
compact disc produced by Phillips.
Well, that’s all
folks.
I should be back to normal, almost, tomorrow.
