Today's Tids Issue 3,666
For Simplicity:
There are simple
solutions
to every problem. Or there would be if human emotions and egos weren’t involved.
The aisles of Staples,
Target,
Wal-Mart and other Back-To-School favorites are more crowded than beaches these
days. The shift is on, and the end of the summer activities is in sight. And
most significant, libraries are under assault as kids rush in to get books to fulfill
their summer reading lists in the nick of time!
Hedge Funds are
seeing their third consecutive month of net investor withdrawals. The
reason, the expensive funds are underperforming the S&P by half. Big hedge
funds are shrinking and people are being let go or leaving seeking the next
investment dream world. But, with all of the convoluted schemes conjured to
find that pot of gold, simplicity may the best answer over time.
One of Trump’s
big problems
is that he creates news that’s competitive with himself.
The Question:
Zowie! Double “Q”
Day! 1.
Who grew up on the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm? 2.
What was the name of the first child of English parents born in America?

I always thought Fracking was
the opposite of Fricking.
I just read an
extensive review
of the New Galaxy 7 Note smartphone, and I’m thinking, I don’t really need anything
more than I’ve got on my current Galaxy 5. It’s the same with new cars that are
over loaded with distracting frills, most of which I will never use. In reality
there comes a point when mother necessity is fulfilled. But, in commercial reality,
that point is never reached as long as there is competition. But then, most
successful economies have never been built on simply, ”need” – but creating “want”.
I didn’t like
Paul Manafort
from the first time I saw him. He was not at all good on his feet in Q&A
sessions, and definitely not warm and fuzzy.
A US Olympic
sailor named Louisa Chafee said that she thought the Rio water cleanliness
stories were “Blow completely out of proportion.” You may remember that the
Tids in an interview with a world acclaimed marine photographer a year ago reported
that he upon returning from assignment in Rio saw nothing more dangerous there than
in any other waters in the world. Do you
think the media still fuming about their guy 0-Man not getting the Olympics
were trying to do the Rio event in? Mr. Conspiracy man here has mused about
that. Everything about this world event now seems to be good and almost all
praise it in many ways. Instead of building up the competition and athletes,
the media opted for sensationalism.
Speaking of
media bias
and bad reporting, it has just been learned that an over zealous CNN, which reported
that the sister of the slain Milwaukee kid had “called for peace” saying “I don’t
want no violence here, no ignorance here,” omitted something quite significant.
In the next breath, she called out for taking violence to the suburbs!
It was just
announced that July
was the hottest day in the history of the world. Personally, I thought around
here it was one of the cooler July’s I can remember.
The Answer:
1. Of course, Snoopy
the Wise became who he is living his early years on the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. 2. Virginia Dare was born in 1587 on
Roanoke Island off Virginia. This is the colony that vanished from the face of
the earth and remains a great mystery.
So, let’s just
keep this closing simple: Good-bye. Seeya.
