Today's Tids Issue 4,030
For Humility:
If
alimony for dogs in divorce cases becomes popular,
guys will be counting potential mate’s pets before proposing. The greater the number
of pets, the smaller the diamond. Will family court judges need veterinary degrees
too? If Kim’s bomb scares you, you can always find outrageous humor somewhere within
these states of ours.
Yesterday,
the average temperature across the USA was 9 degrees. Holy Al Gore, Batman!
It
may not seem like it, but working on a rabbit farm can be a hare
raising experience.
In
the food trend department, it appears that delivered food prep
kits have peaked and that regional US foods will go sub regional (i.e. New
England would be either Maine or Rhode Island versions of the same thing). Ethnic
foods will continue to be popular among the really youngest generations,
including expansion beyond the main course to desserts and appetizers. But to
me, the biggest change will be in meal prep. I have had this feeling for
several years now, that chefs in the race to get in the spotlight dump every
possible ingredient into a dish which often had the effect of hiding the main
ingredient. The new trend is alright with
me: Let the main ingredient like super fresh fish or juicy meats shine. Of
course, a little gravy or savory sauce never hurt.
Alert,
Department:
If you don’t see the Tids for the next couple of
days after this issue, it would probably be because of a power outage from the huge
ocean storm coming up the coast.
The
Question:
Mel Gibson has had a contradictory career. Frankly he’s
a guy I would not like to see near that Big Button! It’s in his eyes. Name the
top five Gibson Movies.

I
don’t see too many people walking around worrying
about the bomb. Twitterer’s tweet, and despots threaten, but it seems that all of
that potential earth destroying news is a big yawn. Hoda replacing Matt or pot sales n LaLa land, are
way up there on the concerns list. I guess the problem with lack of concern may
be that no rational human being thinks that any leader is crazy enough to push
a button that would annihilate him or herself.
“As
intellectual as we think we are, we still trip…” --Robin Williams.
The
more I look at law suits filed here and around the country
the more I’m thinking that people are using them to settle petty grievances, or
more likely to excuse their own shortcomings.
“My
button is bigger than your button”. Say what? Does that
have something to do with Marco Rubio’s hands?
Remember
when GE was probably the safest stock of all to own; a foundation
for all successful portfolios? If you don’t think anything is capable of changing
dramatically, think of GE, IBM or Sears. It’s not just buggy whips any more.
Listening
is the great equalizer.
They
are calling the potential storm coming up from the south
to hit us, a “Bomb Cyclone”! Yikes. I’m on my way to California for some pot.

But did you know that the “QuantranTids” is a close paring of Jupiter and Mars.
and the Blue Super Moon. I have always had this ethereal feeling as I wrote. It
must be my Quantran coming out.
The
Answer:
Gibson did have some memorable movies. Considered as
his best was Braveheart. Next is Lethal Weapon followed by The Patriot, We Were
Soldiers, Mad Max, LW 2, Maverick, Payback, MM 2 Conspiracy and at #10 –
Conspiracy Theory. His next five were Signs, LW 3, LW 4, Ransom and What Women
Want. He is also quite well known for his big personal effort “Passion of
Christ”, which was #18.
People
will always love your simple side.
