Today's Tids Issue 4,552
Optimists and Optometrists:
Happy Recovery Day e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!
It’s a great day to sit back and delight in the laughter and smiles and magnificent
food galore. Yup it’s time to dismiss the noise and soften the incoming. Music
without words would be good. Maybe turning
off the Tids would be better.
When you think
about it, just about everything is based on bias.
For Christmas a
tree surgeon got a subscription for Poplar Mechanics.
Why, after a sit back
and smile Christmas would anybody want venture out into crowded malls/
The Question:
Millennials are shunning Golf Centric country clubs.
That’s just the latest of USA institutions that the younger me-generation is
avoiding. This group is in the throes of putting to death many industries and cultural
traditions. Name 10 of the latest industries or just plain cultural normality’s
being killed by this group.

Baby puns
are childish, but great puns are full groan.
Now, I like Tom
Brady a lot, but he looks awful in his TB12 baseball hat. Despite what Gisele thinks.
The stock market is warning on
Beyond Meat. It has been a emotional buy buoyed by its status as top IPO, but
its maybe well over priced. Profits are projected not to be achieved until
2014, and during that time many huge competitors will arrive including Tyson, Nestle
and Conagra; no spring faux chickens, these mammoth food companies. Meanwhile the
real meat industry is growing nicely with a $40 billion increase between 2018
and 2019. The faux meat biz is still well below that annual increase. So, we shall
see.
Body shops
do a bang up business
Another overrated
but highly promoted product to this person’s eyes is the Hawaiian rolls. They
are very average, and who says that Hawaiians are known for baking, anyhow.
AOC looks like the quintessential
South American dictator.
Weathertech is
a great marketer of stuff I don’t want.
I see where President Obama
has been throwing some roses Elizabeth Warren’s way, which doesn’t surplice me as
he is as progressive as any of the Dem left, but just hides it better.
Christmas cards
maybe for old fogies, but kids still send love with happy emojis.
The Answer:
Cultural analysts say the millennials have ruined or
in the process of ruining these industries and traditions.: Chain Restaurants, Paper
Napkins (Buy paper towels - 2 for 1 Usage), Major Hardware stores (Student
Payoff instead of home remodeling), Movies, Lunch (Eating healthy snacks at
desk), Handshakes (New careers reduce hand strength), vacations (“Work martyrs”
– make other workers feel guilty), Hotels, Wine and Relationships (Hookup rather
than ball and chain connection.)
Despite all of the negativity
apparently spewing from these fingers after the day of Nativity, it was nothing
but a positive day. There really isn’t anything better than a good Christmas
time. I see nothing but smiles and happiness. And even in this crazy downtown
of a city, everything comes to a standstill. Like magic, the silence is awesome.
And all of the human quirks
and foibles during this season always give me fresh new material.
