Today's Tids Issue 4,536
Stepping into white:
I love the
coat of pure white snow.
I love the softness in the air.
I love the quiet that settles in.
I love the serenity that soothes within.
A problem I see is
that a lot of people compare yesteryear’s normal activities with today’s standards
obviously based on new knowledge, cultural developments and of course ridiculously
advanced technology.
Doctor:
“I’m sorry, but you only have 10 to live.”
Patient: “What do you mean 10? 10 what? Months? Weeks?
Doctor: “Nine.”
Last week at this time
we were leading up to Thanksgiving. This week we are leading up to Judiciary Committee
hearings. I liked last week better.
In don’t know about you,
but I get the feeling that the President likes controlling the stock markets on
a daily basis with his vacillating positive negative comments on tariffs. That
not having a deal keeps the investors guessing, and control in his hands.
Personally,
I’m for free market competition.
The Question:
Who performed the first heart transplant, and where?

I just read a story about a
Tennessee Death row candidate ready to be executed. The story centered around the
fact that the inmate Leroy Hall Jr had become blind and it isn’t fair to put him
to death. Tell that to the woman, his former girlfriend, who died horrifically after
Hall threw a lit can of gasoline into the car in which she was sitting. Too many
stories I read don’t get to the point.
There are millionaires
who get berated and then there are millionaire beraters. It is interesting to note
that one large group of “millionaires” without fear of losing, even during recessions,
are Public Employees on pensions.
And people who rely
on the stock market for retirement are getting killed today.
The voice is getting closer to the end.
Tonight, two more leave. Personally, I thought that Kat Hammock had a good night,
one of her best. While Katie Kadan (Who was decent last night again, but not
one of my favorites) continues to dominate the stage every time. Don’t cut Rose
Short, short, That woman can sing. Jake Hoot was powerful again, and don’t be surprised
to see the Country voters rise up and keep him going to the end. Note, I’m not a
big fan of Ricky Duran, but the kid is a great musician, last night he showed some
very good guitar skills. Marybeth Byrd was at her best and should move along. Joana
Martinez has been a favorite of mine, but I thought she was technically amiss
last night, although her performance was well received. Will Breman once again showed
that he should be there at the end. So, I guess that leaves Shane Q as one probably
most likely to leave. Happy Sunday is a twosome I enjoy, but though they brought
down the house, I thought they struggled. I would put Shane, Marybeth, Joana and
Hello Sunday, maybe Kat, in the bottom, only because the others were so good, and
somebody has to be there. Marybeth is a very good singer, but I’m not so sue
she grabs people. Apple (Formerly iTunes) sales last night were stronger with
tow in the top ten for the first time. Jake Hoot was at a healthy #4 for all purchases
. The country people support their guy. Katie was also in the Top 10 at #8.
Ricky Duran was 12, Rose Short 18. Will Breman was at 22, followed by Kat 34, Happy Sunday 39, Mary Beth
at 43. Katie had another at 83 for her previous performance of “Without You”.
Even though George Washington
is one of my all-time heroes., I still wonder if I would have chosen to be a
Rebel, Tory or middle of the roader at the time of the revolution. To many
people, the fact that we have Twitter today makes people think that the
revolution was spontaneous combustion. But many a learned American soul looked at
the momentous event from their own isolated perspective. Some saw fear of
losing fortunes if the British won. Some lived in a stable community situation,
and saw considered evolution as the best road to independence. Others saw possibilities
for a successful, much needed revolution. Americans did turn against Americans
and even waged local battles. It turns out that the Tories and even thoughtful
middle of the roaders lost everything, including the right to stay in America.
I forgot my smart
phone when I went to the john yesterday. We have 247 tiles.
AWD car drivers forget that there
are other people on snowy/icy roads without it, and that it isn’t a miracle gizmo
that can overcome aggressive irresponsible operation.
The Answer:
Christian Bernard performed the first Heart transplant
in South Africa.
A little knowledge
goes along way to the possibility of increased understanding among peoples.
That is if you don’t reject or alter knowledge.
