Wallowing in rhetoric.

Today's Tids Issue 4,756

Just 3 more weeks:

While everybody seems to be counting down the days until election, I just realized that today is a mere 4 months until Valentine’s Day. It’s always good to dream of a little love to break through the anguish of a madding world

I read varying reviews about Judge Amy B, and the consensus of almost all from both sides of the national argument, who judged honestly, was that the Dems didn’t lay a hand on her. One normally Dem leaning reporter said that the Democrat Senators “hadn’t laid a o hand on her, hadn’t touched the reputation of ACB, but that the questioning (lecturing) did afford the senators to pontificate to a national audience the slogans of Joe B.

A clean house is a sign of a broken computer.

A lot of Repubs like to reiterate the slogans in their conservative bones. That by voting for Joe because their vibes for DT are so questionable that they may lose the fight against illegal immigrants, the protection of the Second Amendment, over-regulation, a sensible way to integrate today’s cost effective energy with the search for tomorrow’s hoped for panaceas, relinquish the ability to make Federal Judge appointments, keep the military strong, fight against the destruction of law enforcement, and more. I was going to add, keep our government small, but it seems nobody is able to do that anymore. I only wish.

If you see someone doing a crossword puzzle today, lean over and say, “7-up is lemonade”.

The Question:

In 1947 a US test pilot first broke the speed of sound barrier. Who was it? Bonus: How many names of Moody Blues band members can you name?

The Headlines:

--Goldman, JP Morgan and Citi Report Higher Than Expected Results. Bank Of America Doesn’t; Markets Opens Up,

--McConnell Says He Is Prepared To Take Up Stimulus Next Week, But On A Narrower Basis Than House Versions.

--Covid-19 Frontrunners Lilly and JnJ Cease Vaccine Trials Over Safety Concerns; Moderna Gets Key Positive Ruling On Their European Vaccine Test

--Fed’s Powell Joi s IMF’s Legarde Urging Countries To Keep Injecting Into Economy; Germany Asks Citizens To Stock Up On Sausage and Cheese To Help Buffer Wurst Kase Scenario.

--Amt Comey Barrett Begins Third Day of Questioning.

--Biden and Trump To Hold Competing Town Halls Thursday In Place Of Scheduled Debate.

I normally like congressional hearings, but this latest event with the long lectures has me rapidly tuning to sport’s talk TV.

Did you read where Nancy P blasted Wolf Blitzer and other CNN personalities as being “Republican apologists”. And you wonder why so many Americans just can’t believe the ravings of representatives any longer.

The Tids offers as much intrinsic dogma as the Pope. There just aren’t as many people who believe it.

In last night’s NFL game, Tennessee showed their toughness. I think the Titans may have proven they could join what I see are the toughest teams to beat right now -- Seattle, Pittsburgh, Green Bay and Baltimore. And I believe that the NE Pats have a chance to become one of those too. But you know that I am a callous homer.

I’m a pretty relaxed guy, and doing nothing as I get older should make me even more so. But I find keeping busy looking for ways to avoid naps takes a lot of intense effort.

I’ve always been a pretty positive guy , but I always seem to buy plants without the will to live.

The Answer:

You probably all knew That Chuck Yeager W was the first to break the sound barrier. Bonus: The three long time members of the Moody Blues were Graeme Edge, Justin Hayward and John Lodge. Also at the edge during the formation of the band were Denny Laine, Mike Pinder and Ray Thomas. But, always great sound.

Apparently, I snore so loud that it scares everyone in the car I’m driving.

See you all tomorrow, God willing. Zzzzzzz.
