Today is Victory Day in RI. Victory day which is a new name for VJ day, but everybody they are trying to fool knows what it really is and they are proud that RI takes time to remember all of the men and women who fought in that awful Pacific theater, and all the parents and loved ones who were waiting for them to come back. Despite all the history that’s being rewritten, the end of that war was at least one of the most, if not the most momentous event of any lifetime. It was a real “Proud to be an American” Day.

Despite what Gov officials are telling us, restaurant owners know that Covid payouts are incentives not to work. They are noticing that even with more money offered, many possible job candidates prefer sitting at home and collecting. This is not the kind of America that was always a leader in world economies and responsible governing.
