Today's Tids Issue 5,338
Miserere mei:
There are some mottos that never need to be refreshed. Like “Never forget.” Who could forget the planes crashing into the buildings. Who could forget bodies falling in the air. Who could forget 1,368 and 1,362 foot tall buildings collapsing into dust and rubble. Who can forget the innocents killed that day buy pure evil. Never foget the evil l that lurks lest it will happen again.
I will never forget where I was and what Iwas doing when I heard a news report read by Charels McCord on the Don Imus radio program saying it appears that something has hit the world Trade Center. But nobody then knew anything. Then I ran to the TV in time to see the second plane hit.
Complacency is a terrible thing.
I was eating in an Indian restaurant when nice looking grandmotherly woman g came over and started talking to me. “I was watching you eat,” she began, “and i noticed what wonderful manners you had. You must have had great parents.” Then she left. I called over our waiter and asked who she was. He said, “She is our complimentary nan
The Question:
When the bell tolls today for those who perished, how many times will we hear the solemn sound vibrating in the hearts of loved ones.

Erupting volcanos in Hawaii; Earthquakes in Morrocco. Faultline's all over the planet. Erath is a living breathing thing. Dastardly natural surprises have been crippling earth for millions of years. eons. The difference is that most of them occurred before people and mass communications. But they were there.
It was reported that the largest single employer in RI is our state Government. And that dominance is growing. That the kind of an economy that can only result in the death of a once vigorous entity,
911 stories, Department:
Here’s one that might give you chills. Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly ordered fighter pilots to ram United Airlines Flight 93 after two hijacked commercial planes – UA Flight 11 and UA Flight 175 – were flown into the World Trade Center by members of al-Qaeda. The crash was ordered because there was no live weaponry on the training planes sent to Pennsylvania. One was a piloted by trainee air force pilot Heather Penny. "In the military, we don’t train for suicide missions because we value our war fighters," Penney said, calling them "a part of our unique capabilities" and noting, "we were in a position where unless we had those missiles, there was no other choice." Penny added, "We were willing to do that (Commit suicide) because not only had we sworn an oath to protect and defend our constitution, the U.S. and our way of life, protect our people, but anyone who had seen what had happened that day would’ve been willing to do the same thing." Penny didn't have to make the ultimate sacrifice because as we know brave passengers brought down that plane. But here is the rest the story: All through her reconciling the magnitude of her ordeal she had ot contemplate, was her United Airlines pilot father at the helm of Flight 11.
A friend of mine went into a diner and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee without cream. The waitress said we don’t have cream. Would coffee without milk be Ok?
Some people will gravitate to “Smart" devices regardless. The new Samrt glucose monitoring system is a boon to those with type one diabetics and for some with hard ot control Type 2. But some food gurus are recommending disciples wear them to determine which foods produce the most glucose in tier system. Pure cultural overkill. People with a healthy pancreas don’t have a sugar problem.
Little Italy’s have always been exciting neighborhoods in big and small cities and loaded with great food. A woman in California wrote a book naming the five best Italian districts in America. Number one she says is Boston's North End. Next is San Diego, She says New York was certainly number one for years, but has slipped. Number for is Philly and number five is Federal Hill in Providcen RI. I’ve enjoyed them all exceot San Diego.
The Answer:
The bells will toll for 2,977 innocents and all those who perished rushing in to save them.
A moment to remember (This goes on a while so you may want to turn it off once you get the sense of the solemn mood.:
