Opening Stuff:
The Country Music Awards last night was one of the best three hours of entertainment I've seen in years.
The unemployment report for October will be out tomorrow, and it is expected to show and increase from 7.2% to 7.5%. The WH will ascribe that to the 16 day shutdown, which statistically is probably accurate. But the gain in out of work Americans is significant, and it shows regardless of the short term circumstances, just how fragile this economy is.
There was an interesting comparison last night as you watched Taylor Swift sing the title song from her new album "Red", along with a creative ensemble that included Allison Krauss and Vince Gill. You noticed a matruization of Swift as she moved out to new creative challenges. She diviorced her teen past by becoming an adult entertainer in a most rersponsible way...improving the quality of her music. Compare this to other teen to "Adult" entertainers who think wearing less clothes and acting foolish is maturing. Superficiality versus substance.
If you're thinking of investing in Twitter today, consider that the offering comes upon the news that Blockbuster, the video giant, announced its bankruptcy this morning.
The Question:
Who are the last ten and the first ten elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame?

Joe Biden got right on the horn after the election results yesterday and called Marty Walsh to congratulate him on winning the Boston Mayoral race. Nice gesture, except that it wasn't the right Marty Walsh. Joe is in line to be the next person with his finger on the Button. "Hello, Vladimir don't do anything rash, I just made a little mistake. Oh, you won't do anything rash. Good, very good Vlad -- can I call you Vlad? You don't know what I''m talking about? The bomb Vlad, the bomb! Oh, can you transfer me to the President? Putin! Vladimir Putin."
It's Pick 'em time! Another bad week brings us to 85-46 and 65% mediocrity. Every week seems loaded with puzzlers. Maybe a non-pragmatic mind always sees more than is there. The games that could go either way are Det-Chi, Philly-GB (No Rogers), Cinn-Balt, Indy-SL, Seattle-Atlanta Seahawks bad away, and Atlanta needs a win), Oak-Giants, Buff-Pitt, Carolina-SF (Panthers on a streak), Den-SD (Rivers could go wild against Bronc "D"), Houston-Ariz (Win one for the Koob?), Dallas- NO (The surprise a minute teams) and Miami-TB (Miami in media disarray, TB finally winning?) Of those, the winners are Chi, Phil, Balt, Indy, NYG, Buff, SF, Den, Ariz, NO and ...yes. TB. The rest of the picks are Washington, Tennessee and Seattle.
I may get on board the Global-Warming-Got-To-Go Express. I just learned that global warming could produce super giant snakes! Snakes which are as big as a bus carrying illegals across the boarder. With a mouth bigger than the average person. Get me outta here! I may not be able to finish this Tids.
Republicans would do well to support Tea Party congress people as those with guts as opposed to disruptors of the party. The left wants the establishment Repubs to oppose Tp'ers. The Media salivates when the Repubs soften on the Tea Party objectives. The chortlers love to ridcule them, who afteer all, are only doing what they believe in, and what many millions of Americans feel the outcry truly needs --- a return to fiscal and cultural sanity. n te other hand, The Tea party precpeet are scary to people who are afraid of the truth, meaning that electability on a broad basis. like the next Presidency, is virtually impossible. Conservatives may feel they are right supporting a candidate just like them, but, it is just like assuming you're safe when have thing green light on a highway, and getting broadsided by somebody running a red light. Your dead, but right. You have to look both ways.-
Stayed tuned to this Incognito-Martin affair. It appears that all of the Miami players, including all of the black players, are firmly on Richie's side, and almost everybody agrees that Martin and the giant jerk were inseparable friends. Now we are learning that Martin's Mother is a lawyer, and he may just be using this incident to get out of a football contract, without losing a payday. The horrified may have jumped on this episode way before all of the details were in. But, that's the new world with Twitter!
The Government shuts down for 16 days and the economy has its best GDP Growth month in years. Maybe there's some kind of hint there.
Tonight's the big night on The Voice when it goes fro 20 to 12! If you're a fan looking for clues, check out the ITune sales of the live show performances, Mon and Tues. Only two singers failed to get within the top 300 for the nights -- Gray Paramore and Amber Nichols. Levine's James Wolpert was by far the best of the Levine-Shelton Competition. Others who did well there were Levine's Tessane Chin and Will Champlin; Shelton's Austin Jenckes, Ray Boudreaux and Cole Vosbury. Tuesday's Aguilera-Green competitors shined with 3 top 20 ITune sellers -- Caroline Pennell, Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler. Based on a combination of Polling and ITunes sales there appears to be 2 safe for each coach -- Christina - Lee and Schuler; Cee-Lo - Pennell and Jonny) Gray; Adam - Wolpert and Chin; Blake - Jenckes and Boudreaux. The rest are up for grabs. I'm thinking Vosbury, Champlin, Robichaud and Henken for the twelve.
