Today's Tids Issue 3,336
Opening Stuff:
I see where James
Taylor has said that Barak Obama is the greatest President in the History
of the United States. I guess the monotone singer has now dulled his brains
too. Oh yeah, and he’s 200% behind The Hill also. God save us from celebrities
with microphones and the press who idolize them unequivocally.
The Media in
headlines usually ask the Question about Repub candidates: “What does (X
Repub Person} stumble on (X Issue) say about His/Her ability to lead.” I have
not seen the media ask, “What Does Hillary‘s innate dishonesty about issues and
events A, B, C, D, E, F,…X, Y, X say
about her ability to be the most
powerful person in the world?” It’s just the way it is. The media has become as
deceptive as the Clintons.
A no fly zone prohibits zippers.
The Question:
What were the names of the founders of the McDonald’s
restaurant chain? Where were they born and where did they establish the first
store in the chain? Bonus: A former
Montreal street juggler Guy Liberte just sold what for about $1.5 Billion?

Whatever happened
to Sarah Brightman?
I know what happened
to child singing sensation Anna Maria Alberghetti – she got older and turned 79
today! And I thought she’d be forever young.
Remember when “College
Coed” was another name for upbeat, happy, positive, responsible, understanding,
considerate. Law abiding young persons?
Really happy to see
the Cleveland Cavs win over the Bulls. I thought I would go 7 games and
always had the feeling that Chicago would recover in the end. But now Cleveland
looks good for beating the Wizards-Hawks winner and on to the Championship
series.
Reading the news
makes you think that people are just becoming badder and badder. But at the big
event here this week, a volunteer told me that she greeted over 1,600 people
entering her exhibit area and everyone was cordial and pleasant, except one. He
could not understand why he couldn’t bring in his dog, and got downright ugly,
nasty about it. in general, the majority of people are just plain great. Unfortunately, the media would have only reported
– Man says City hates dogs. And that’s all you would know about a great event,
and really, really nice people.
I may not be
reporting on the singing talent shows in the future as the music just gets
worser and worser. Actually, I have to start warming up to the America’s Got
Talent Show, and I’ll be there with on target predictions if I can get past the
antics of Nick Cannon and the insufferable judges Howie and Howard.
I hear various groups
talking about how much they hope Hillary doesn’t get in the White House.
But there is one obstacle which almost all of the people in these various groups
agree upon: Who in hell on the Repub side can they vote for. Yes that is an
obstacle to providing an impediment to a Hillslide victory.
Reading between the
Lines Movie Reviews:
--I have to say that when watching the original Mad Max
movies I often wondered what was going on and why I was watching the mayhem.
But, the critics seem to love Fast fury, the new version of the massive post apocalyptic
arms race. It is exhilarating and full of action, roaring engines and quiet heroes
in the battle of the wasteland warlords on top of some sound narrative. Some very
good acting especially with Charlize Theron. Of course the odd vehicles are the
real stars. It could be a big box office winner, and will satisfy a greater
breadth of people than usual. Yet, I still thought it was a little strange
years ago.
--Perfect Pitch 2 on the other hand is not as good as the
popular original, but I suspect people will like it anyhow even with a little
more than necessary juvenile raunch. But the group after a mishap in a performance
for the President strives on to an International A capella competition.
--I’ll See You In My Dreams looks like a nice little movie
about a70 yo. retired teacher and long time widow who enjoys her garden,
playing cards with friends and relaxing with a glass of wine. There is a bleak
vacuum for her after her beloved dog dies. But, the pool guy and his friend help
her out of depression and she finds her way to romance. Happy and funny and heart
warming starring Blythe Danner, Martin Starr and Sam Elliott.
Cartoons produced

The Answer:
The first hamburger place was established in San Bernardino
Cal by the Brothers McDonald – Richard James and Maurice – a couple of Irish sons
of immigrants. They were born in
Manchester NH and moved to Cal in the 1920’s. They started with a hot
dog stand, closed it and then opened a bigger and first McDonald's hamburger place
in 1940. The first franchise was in 1953 in Phoenix Ariz. The chain really
stated to grow when Ray Kroc became a partner in 1954. Frustrated by the narrower
thinking of the Brothers, he bought them out for $5 Million!
I’d have liked
writing about more, but the press is hiding all of the good stuff.
Have a great weekend E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
