Today's Tids Issue 3,532
Opening Stuff:
Well,
there is nothing going on…except maybe everything. And
everything is getting tedious…and weird, really weird. How many times can you
write about the same things that are becoming so trite, and make it look new
and different?
More
and more regular people are looking at the Repub debate stage
and the post show outbursts, wondering how they could ever bring themselves to
vote for any of them.
I
cancelled my twitter account. I don’t want to sound
paranoid, but I was pretty sure people were following me.
As
we see more and more black demonstrations, more than
several based on misinformation or contrived instances, we also are seeing a rise in cops
being shot and killed at an unprecedented rate. In just the last week, 6 fine
policemen doing their duties in towns and cities across the USA were murdered in
cold blood. America is losing many of its good innate qualities at an alarming and more rapid rate. One of them is respect for authority, from parents to teachers
to, yes, policemen and women. Then, perhaps it is the authority at the top of
the chain that is causing the skepticism, or encouraging rampant misbehavior.
I
pause for a moment in memory for six fine policemen cut
down.
I
suspect that a lot of Repubs will be looking to
the Congress to “Bork” whoever Obama nominates for Supreme court. They've been waiting for over 35 years.
The
Question:
Triple
Header day! 1. Where was the Red Cross founded? 2. What was the name of the treaty that
ended the War of 1812. 3. Who or what
is “Eagles of Death Metal”?

I
watched the Obama talk yesterday. His opener was a long
winded praise for basically nothing. Ironically, just after he reveled in the
efforts of the Southeast Asian group and its mission for peace and harmony and
fight against climate change, it was revealed in a newscast that Photos from space
had shown that China had built a Surface-to-Air Missile installation on the
contested manmade islands! Whoops.
You
know you are paranoid when you can’t think of anything that’s
your fault.
When
I read of these cop killings, plus what appears to
be an increase in vicious attacks in formerly civilized areas of cities and
towns, I’m inclined to think that the US is turning into a lawless Mexico.
Yesterday
a train from China brought all kinds of goodies to Iran.
Today the Iran delegation went to Moscow to further cement that growing relationship.
The economic and military power base of the world could be changing right
before our eyes. I hope somebody I DC is watching. Ten years ago we had the
Axis of Evil. Today we have the Axis of Opposition, which is bigger and more
substantive.
The
president’s speeches are definitely a cure for insomnia.
Insomnia bin Obama.
On
the Michael Savage show last night, I hear that Donald Trump
didn’t deny Savage’s theory that Scalia may have been smothered to death with a
pillow had possibilities.
Being
paranoid means that you never have to think that you
are alone.
ESPN’s
use of the floor level camera during the All-Star game
was a travesty.
While
yesterday after the 0-Man blasted the unsavory behavior of
Repub candidates before the world, he certainly didn’t go out of his way to
diminish Bernie Sanders’ rise.
The
Parking Lot: Chapter 47.
Nancy presented
her key to the banker, signed the entry book and was led downstairs to the
basement of the big bank in Providence and her safe deposit box. It was more
than safe repository of personal valuables; it was the history and ownership of
a region. It was crammed with legal documents from over 250 years.
Nancy had
made arrangements to visit the Supreme Court of the state, which she knew would
be necessary for a project this big and complex. In fact, she thought it is
really fairly simple, but legal wrangling she new will confuse it. She thumbed
through the papers, picking several key documents. She felt better than she had
in months, knowing that finally the intimidation and killing was over and it
was all legal wrangling from now on. She had all of the cards.
She walked briskly up the stairs a manila envelope
under arm that would bring her back into her family’s history and provide a new
future to the town once called Sakonnet. As she felt the papers warming against
her body she wondered once again what this Richard Hicks was like, and indeed
all of the past family which had given her so much.
Outside,
she looked up the street towards Kennedy Square and saw Jared waiting in the
car. She stopped for a moment and just stared at him. He has been so important to
her, yet she could put a finger on why. He was old and relaxed and she was
younger and energetic. But within that quiet demeanor there was something deeper,
special that gave her more confidence. I don’t fall in love, she thought, so
that couldn’t be it. She started walking and Jared looked up to see her, smiling
broadly as ever.
A lone
man reading a paper on a park bench folded it up and his eyes followed Nancy. He
wasn’t your basic park pervert.
The
Answer:
1.
The Red Cross was founded in Geneva Switzerland. 2. The War of 1812 was pretty significant in the development of the
USA, but generally seen as the step child of the Revolutionary War. The war
ended officially with the Treaty of Ghent. 3.
If you have been paying attention, you knew that Eagles Death Metal was the band
playing when the ISIS Terrorists assaulted the concert in Paris.
Protesting
deepens
the divide.
Do
paranoid schizophrenic agnostic dyslectic insomniacs
lie awake at night wondering if they might be the dog out to get them?
See,
I didn’t have anything to write about today. But what I
did, makes me sad.
