For Funnybones:
People
elected to government to represent the wishes of the
people think they are the bosses of the people. Bureaucrats on the tax payer
payroll think they walk on water. That’s why sixteen Repubs lost out to Trump, and
why Hillary was sucking air against Bernie.

guess Toronto is learning, “Don’t mess with Chief Wahoo – in

An
extensive survey has determined that a majority of
elected officials don’t think the public at large has a lot of brains. Oh yeah,
and the Dems hate the idea of people thinking for themselves. That’s two more
reasons why people are so angry.

Comic
strip Shoe says the astronauts have discovered a new drink for
country people. It’s called Twang!
I
can’t say I was knocked off my living room couch last nigth
by any of the duets. I mean some were good, but I’ve been wowed better. The
most enjoyable to listen to for me was the Song “The Reason” sung ably but not
sensationally by Gabe Broussard and Christian Ferrnin. Gabe won, but won’t go too
far. I was surprised that Johnny Rez wasn’t stolen but Nolan Neal has some power
in his voice, though not my favorite. Josh Gallagher looked like a real country
singer, but Blaine Long was the real talent. Surprised Blaine wasn’t stolen. I
liked Karlee Metzger from her original performance and was happy to see her
stolen. Darby Walker is a real talent and could do well even though she
personally is annoying at times. But how about Miley having them singing that
old Melanie song, I got a brand new Key, which believe or not was always a favorite
of mine, Neither performer was up to Melanie. I do believe that Josh Halverson is
one of the unique singers of this year, a person I will look forward to, but he
wasn’t good enough in Alicia’s eyes to get past Kylie Rothfield, who I also
liked. Miley got a winner with her steal of Josh. Everybody went bonkers over
the Aaron Gibson and SaRayah finale. I thought it was so-so.
Have
you noticed that chain restaurants are closing
hundreds of eateries. This has always been a tough low margin business subject to
the whims of stomachs and taste buds…and now nutritionists. People are also finding
that eating out all of the time is really expensive; it’s real money that could
be used for all kinds of entertainment or personal pastimes (Oh probably not to
afford a ticket to Hamilton). When new ideas surface imitators proliferate the
concepts. Restaurants is certainly one of them.
Maybe
another mass consumable category in danger is drinks.
Have you walked through a supermarket lately and observed all of the non-traditional,
non-carbonated drinks lining the shelves? It is truly mind boggling to me.
Pepsi and Coke and other old timers are seeing a decline. But, it’s not just
the old standards, it’s many of the trendy for a moment brands, like Snapple
for instance, that capture imaginations until the next super healthy, culturally
acceptable drink comes along. But with all of the drinks available, the drink
most often mentioned on Twitter is – coffee. Coffee is king, and that is
certainly an old standard. Maybe Coke and Pepsi have to add caramel. Wait a
minute, that sugary base syrup is essentially caramel! Want a squirt of whipped
cream with your Coke or Pepsi?
Rhymes
with Orange tickled my funny bone yesterday morning with
its strip titled “Stone Age Hot Rod Show: It showed basic wheels cut from stone
with animal skin clad maidens draped over them in typical alluring poses. I
love crazy imaginations.
BTW,
an analysis of Tweeted foods has as most often
mentioned in addition to coffee – beer, pizza, wine, chicken, BBQ, ice cream
and Tacos. Health food is really catching on. The most popular fast food
restaurants tweeted were Starbucks (Over half the mentions), Chipotle, Taco
Bell and Buffalo Wild Wings. One puzzler for the researchers was the frequent
mention of “Curry”. It turned out it wasn’t the beginning of an Indian food
explosion but simply reverence for NBA Star Stephen Curry!

You
have to wonder why the big supporters here behind
the upcoming Tiverton Casino vote are heads of Unions, mainly public employee
unions. Do you think they are seeing a money pot they can siphon off to add
even more employees to burdened local and state governments, to feed the
bloated pension funds? Why don’t leaders ever think about reducing taxes for citizens
or making the state more palatable for business to lure real value added jobs
that don’t tax the population. Yes, the Tiverton proposal looks entirely union
backed to me, and that always makes me worry.

The
Answer:
I think that just about everybody would agree that
she was best known for playing Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve in the
superman series. Personally I liked her in just about everything she , like
Amityville Horror. Unfortunately, I think she is probably a big Hillary
supporter, that is, if The Hill is liberal enough for her.
My
laugh is somewhat atomic
After I read a comic.
It bursts from deep within,
A feeling quite close to sin!
Which
is why I feel really sorry for readers of the NY Times – No comics!
But they do use their imagination with the truth!
