For Vacuums:
Summer
is gone. It came a little later this year than last. But the
abruptness of its departure was devastating. The Red Sox lost. Gone are the
smacks of the bats, the thud of the ball to glove, the roar of the crowd. Then radio
blaring out games in the background as birds chirp and crickets hum. These are
the real sounds of summer. I hear the silence now. I feel the ache of a game
not won. I wait for the grind of gears as the equipment truck takes off for
Florida once again in the late winter. The sounds of silence is that end of
baseball. But, there is always hope in the heart to pass away the winter cold.
Did
you know that October is National Cyber Security month? I
wonder if hackers know that.
“I
want Supreme Court justices who understand the way the world
really works…” This was Hillary’s generalized description of judges she would
nominate for the SC. It tends to say
that if the constitution gets in the way of the way she views the way the world
works for her objectives, then so be it. She and many progressives see the
brilliant document only as something that needs to be changed to suit their
fantasies. She wants judges who would disregard that grand basis for American
freedoms and opportunities. Laws are written and rewritten as the world
evolves, But the Constitution lives as the foundation upon which a unique
nation in history is governed.
Do
you think that Donald Trump would define establishment Republicans
as deplorable?
The
Question:
I believe Americans can be united in the belief that
this election has reached new lows in USA history. Name five dirty political strategies
that were employed in fierce elections.

Abstract
painters are basically graphic artists who balance
color, form and spatial relations.
I
see where Obama just announced a goal of sending humans to
Mars by 2030. Word in DC says that Hillary wants to move up the date and test
the new territory by sending up deplorables.
Apple
stock has been going up probably because of Samsung’s
exploding batteries and cessation of production of the top selling Galaxy phone.
But, the real winner may be Google’s new phone entry which may be the perfect
solution for Android lovers now on hold. There is no truth to the rumor that
Samsung engineers are being sent to North Korea.
Today
is the day some people want to establish as Indigenous People
day, a sophomoric expression of youthful exuberance. Do you know what I want?
How about “People-who-want-to live-life-without-in-your-face-BS” Day!”
See, this is a
classic example
of why there is so much division in this country. The new entries into the real
world blinded by adolescent idealism want to replace something that exists with
their version of what that something should have been in the first place.
Instead, why don’t they take an idea they think is credible without usurping
long standing traditions that reflect achievements of the past. No, these aggressive
advocates adhere tothis insane idea of all-or nothing being better --I’m right
and you and your ancestors have been wrong for centuries. Listen to each other
and make it work together.
Hey, wait a
minute,
I’m an establishment Republican and I resent that!
There
were a couple of great duets on The Voice last night.
Personally, I feel these so-called battle rounds is the most entertaining segment
of the show. Personal, I liked best Sundance Head and Dan Schaefer singing Feel
Like Makin’ Love. I thought We’ McDonald was the best talent of the night. In
fact she was so good that she dragged along a decent Laruen Diaz to a steal.
Billy Gilman (RI Kid) was great in the blinds and Ok last night. But the judges
seem to like him. Ali Caldwell seems to be the favorite of the Judges, but I’ve
seen her in other singers before, just not with orange hair. The Jason
Warrior/Christian Cuevas duet was powerful, and I thought they were both pretty
equal. Jason, stolen by Adam may be one of the best. Andrew DeMaro who lost to
Gilman should have stayed in place of Riley Elmore who is at best a HS talent
show performer. I kind of liked Natasha Bure who lost to Riley, but the judges
didn’t save her. She is one of those who could have grown. Onward. Hopefully,
Sundance hangs around til the end.
Do
you know what is scarier than ISIS? It’s a Hillary
presidency with a Dem Senate and House. Ouch!
Trump
broke a basic rule of good judgment when he assumed Buffet
took the same tax write-offs as he. He is a fool and it is hard to deny it,
even if Hilary’s presidency would be a disaster for the America as we have
known it.
Can
you think of a more perplexing conundrum than having
Hillary as non option and Trump as the only other possibility? Invest in Booze
manufacturers.
I‘ve
had it.
The
Answer:
“Gerrymandering: was first used by Patrick Henry to
keep James Madison out of the House of Representatives.. --The Jackson election
was maybe the dirtiest where opponent Adams called Raechel Jackson a bigamist
and adulterer. --In 1864 when GOP candidate Blaine was accused of taking cash for
favors, he accused Cleveland of having an illegitimate child by a woman he had
an affair with 10 years earlier. Fortunately fro Cleveland, she had had several
affairs and they couldn’t tell which man was dad. --Celebrity endorsements are
commonplace now but it was in 1836 when the Whig party employed the words of
Davy Crockett that said Van Beuren “was laced up in corset such as a woman in
town where it would be difficult to say from his personal appearance if he was
a woman or a man except for those large red and gray whickers.”
