Today's Tids Issue 3,907
For Good Luck:
Today
is 7-11, and it should be National “Craps” Day, but it isn’t
Actually it could never be a crappy day, because in fact it is “National Cheer
Up the Lonely Day”! Which it wouldn’t be hard to do today, considering it is
also a delectable day devoted to “National Cherry Day”, and “National Blueberry
Muffin Day”. Or, you could show a sad persona picture of a happy pet, because it
is also “All American Pet Photo Day”! How great is that! 7/11 is also becoming
popular as “National World Population Day”. Personally, I think they are all
here, right now, in our town, all 6 or 7 billion of them. Crushing! I’m thinking
I need a Mojito…because this is the day for that too! Go to a convenience
store. Over pay.
William
Tell and his family used to be league bowlers – but since
the records were lost, it is difficult to determine for whom the Tells bowled.
Under
objection for my moral principles, I Guess I have to say
it, I have to drop my austere shield an blurt out for the sake of being relevant
in today’s topsy-turvy society – It’s “Amazon Prime Day”! Over buy.
I
should also mention that there is a growing society
of sensible citizens of this Earth who proudly wear as a badge of honor -- not
being among the FaceBook 2,000,000,000!

whose first name was a soda pop? Bonus: Name three of his movies.

It
is remarkable sight, when looking at a small tidal pond by
the sea as I did yesterday morn, to see six to eight white egrets nestled in
one tree. It almost looks like Angels sitting there, watching over heaven on
earth.
Hotels
really gouge summer tourists.
For
the sake of our Children, Ban Bathtubs, Department:
In New Mexico, A 14 year old girl was electrocuted
when talking on her plugged in phone. This is not the first time this has
happened. in the recent months. One of the failings of the new society is that
too many don’t understand how our amazing gizmos really work.
By
the way, what happens if you drive a Tesla into a river?
It’s
never ladies before gentlemen when standing at a supermarket
checkout line.
A
lot of grandmothers and grandfathers love to jump into giving
child rearing advice to their grandchildren, saying that young parents today
are much too cautious about kids who are “not that fragile”. They forget that
in their early days of parenting, their noses were firmly affixed to the pages
of Doctor Spock’s book.
I
don’t think kids today are any more physically fragile
then they were in my distant youth. But, they seem more mentally fragile. Are
they hearing about too many symptoms and then latching on to them? Or have we always
had some clarity problems?
I
used to get lots of stuff about Obama Admin screw-ups and
dirty deeds. But I always let it play out until the real truth emerged. I’m doing
the same on these screaming headlines about Trump and his clan. Of course, the left
thinks all screaming headlines about Trump are absolutely true, just as conservatives
felt the same about accusations of Obama.
I
always thought SSRI with flagrant violations of average taxpayer
confidence, like having as the Senate President the former head of the powerful
Laborer Union, set us apart from others. But I’m thinking that up in Washington
and especially in Seattle we have the formation of true socialist outpost. They
have as we all know instituted a now questionable $15 min wage, and now today
have announced that the only new tax is aimed at “The Dreaded Rich” is certain
to pass. The good news is that it may free up some pretty good pro athletes for
snatching!
BTW,
did you notice the big Buffett donation to Gates Charities? The dreaded rich
are pretty good at spreading around hheir money without government whips and
chains. There was goodness in the hearts of people way before Government impositions.
The
Answer:
Tab was the name of the soda Pop, and Tab Hunter was
the nameof the heartthrob. Bonus: Before his career in movies, he joined the US
Coast Guard at the age of 15! His frist big lead was opposite Linda Darnell in
Island of Desire. Next, he became noticed playing a supporting role to John Wayne
and Lana Turner in The Sea Chase. That led to the epic WWII super hit movie, “Battleground”
in 1955. By 1956, he joined Natalie Wood and James Dean at the top of the fame
ladder.
Well,
it’s time to try Powerball again. This could be the day…for
me and 80 million others!
Seeya
all
tomorrow.
