For Objectivity:
I
talked to a good friend who had just returned from Norway,
Sweden et. al. And now I think I know why Volvo was so magnanimous in its
climate change gesture to go all electric – Tesla is eating their lunch. Yes,
the Scandinavians can’t get enough of the Muskmobile, buying every single one
of them in and out of production. That has to be hurting the business of their
former favorite. Odd, isn’t it, how even the sacrosanct environmentalist leaders
look at the revenue side of the ledger too.
The
Repubs have to start selling the merits of what they
are trying to accomplish rather than just talking about keeping a promise. If
ACA is in trouble, and I guarantee that only small percentage of people know
why, explain it “clearly”. That’s why Dem inane proclamations of deaths resound
so well with the uninformed Repubs, the country, needs objective explanations of
why it is in trouble, and why there is a driving need to replace and/or improve
it. It is \just a giant football
bouncing haphazardly in the chambers of the governing elite. Most people need a
replay to understand what is really going on. The only thing reported is the
scorecard. As I said a week or so ago, get rid of the political parties and get
down to the people.
Dems
may be licking their chops at Trump antics giving them an
illusion of a sure thing Congress in 2018. But, according to WAPO, the most
active voting groups projected today for that election are Repubs, and especially
Repubs who strongly support Trump,
I
wrote a novel about a religious woman, The library put it in
the Nun-Fiction section.
The Question:
What was Vickie Carr’s greatest hit? My younger reader
are asking, “Vickie who?”

If
you think you know what the Fiords look like from
pictures you’ve seen, you don’t know nothing. To sail upon clean waters beneath
them is to have experienced a wonder of the world.
When
you think about it, it is quite remarkable that Hillary
beat Sanders for the nomination. She was actually lower in the polls than
Sanders, but the weight of the Democrat machine pushed her across the line.
Everything
is about money, only today it seems it’s about spending
other people’s money.
What
phrases will the decorator shows use after everybody
gets tired of “Demo day”, “Open Concept”, “Shiplap”, “Hardwoods” or “On-Suite”.
They need new copywriters.
The
Bernie Sanders movement gained more strength here
last night. Progressive Dems in this state are saying the current Union owned
Dems in the statehouse are much too conservative. Last night in a primary to find
a Dem to run for the vacate seat of the former now retired Senate president, it
was a surprising win for a woman who describes herself as a ”Lawyer; Social
Activist”. In a state crying for new companies to create new jobs she says her two
biggest wants are two laws that would further hamstring companies doing business.
She was not the handpicked candidate of a very popular ex-Senate President. The
fever for becoming Sweden is hot.
Ivanka
Trump is much too thin for my liking.
BTW,
the Tesla sales miracle in Scandinavia isn’t the result of
some genius marketing ploy, unless socialism has become a marketing technique.
The Government provides buying incentives to Tesla buyers in the form of
multiple tax reductions at many levels. And, It appears that tesla owners will
be giver privileged parking areas by cities and towns and the Federal government.
In other words they are taking taxes paid by Volvo to subsidize their competitor.
You know, Volvo, the company that provides jobs that fund the government give-away
programs. Crazy.
Did
you know that fines for speeding tickets in Sweden are
determined by the driver’s personal wealth. It’s another redistribution of
income scheme.
I
am told that one of the great scenic vacations is
that of taking your car or motorcycle for a drive around the “Alpine Loop” in
Colorado. One of the highlights is Animas Forks and several other similar “Ghost
Towns” – former silver mine twon long vacated.
