Today's Tids Issue 4,421
Believe!
This week for the first time ever
they lit up the Newport Bridge all nice in Red, White and Blue. It’s pretty damn
inspiring.
After watching some Sunday morn
talk shows it is obvious that the primary rule for new politicians and their
advocates is to never let rational thinking cloud their opinions. Believing lies
is at the heart of contemporary information.
If tomatoes are technically
a fruit, does that mean that ketchup is a smoothie?
While drinking your smoothies,
KFC has come up with a super taste treat working with the culinary laboratories
in Cheetoland. For the next month you can savor the KFC Chicken and Cheeto sandwiches.
By all accounts from people who really know good food, it is a winner for sure.
It introduces and features Cheeto Sauce, which I would like to see packaged and
sold in stores across the USA. The Cheeto sauce Martini. I can see it.
I should be learning
about block Chains. But, I’d never excel at it.
The Question:
Who was the man who went missing with Amelia Earhart?
Bonus: OK. Quick – which is the capital and which is the country, El or
San Salvador?

Europeans probably came away
from last weekend’s London baseball series with a misconception of what
baseball is all about. Teams don’t generally score fifty runs in two games. But,
they tell me that Cricket takes longer to play than baseball and it has next to
no runs (Or whatever they call scores) per game
If at first you don’t succeed,
skydiving is not for you.
Have you seen snippets
of that staged recital of actors reading the Mueller report? It was kind of
silly. Actually, weird. As one wag said, they were probably hoping for a better,
Hollywood ending.
When a bunch of old
guys sit around in the in the morning over a cup of coffee and a few sweet rolls,
it’s more like going to an organ recital. (Thanks to super columnist Mark Patinkin
for that.)
BTW, today is July
2, not yesterday as it said in the Tids. Idiot.
I have never been a big fan
of the “Swoosh”, mainly because it irritates my designs sensitivities. But now
it represents the company that backed down to Colin Kaepernick after the anti-American
football player complained about their new Betsy Ross flag sneakers.
A new series on Showtime
is “The Loudest Voice”. It is about Roger Ailes and the dramatic rise of his Fox
News Network. Actually, it is well produced and holds your interest as a drama,
but I fear it will serve to disparage Fox as a legitimate news service. Which is
about what you would expect from Hollywood during an election season. But as
Robert Dole is seen and heard saying in a clip, Americans need an alternative
to all of the Left leaning media.
The best run cities in America
are Nampa Idaho, Provo Utah, Boise Idaho, Durham NC, Lexington-Fayette KY, Las
Cruces M, Billings Mont, Virginia Beach, Missoula Mont and Fargo ND. The worst run cities are Washington DC, Gulfport
Miss, San[RH1]
Francisco, Chattanooga, NYC, Detroit, Oakland Ca, Flint Mi, Hartford Ct and Cleveland.
The are rated on Debt, School graduation and violent crime and commuting.
Charles J. Guiteau,
who killed President James Garfield, was hung in less than a year after the murder.
Today it would be strung out in the courts and one some political movement would
probably hail him as courageous
Restorative Justice:
Is an approach to justice where the response to a crime is to organize a meeting
between the victim and the offender, and often other representatives of the community.
The object is to establish a dialogue that the two would share the experience
and discuss who was harmed by the crime. Say what? It’s happening.
Did you read where the liberal left
has suggested that conservatives should avoid restaurants and eat at home? And,
this is called progressive? The deeper the Dems reach into leftist lunacy the easier
it will be for the Trumpster to win in 2020.
Bob Dole:
“When I was quite young, I put my trust in God—not government; and I never get
the two confused.”
The Answer:
You all probably knew right away that it was Fred
Noonan wo was lost with Amelia. Bonus:
And I bet you all immediately knew that El Salvador was the country and San
Salvador was the capital.
Having faith
will get us all though a lot of difficult moments. Whether it is faith in God
or a good spouse and children; or parents, sibling or that a friend will come through
when you need it. Or yourself, your own inner self-reliance. Faith is a binding
that grabs you when you need strength most.
If you keep your feet
firmly on the ground, you’ll have trouble putting on your pants.
