Today's Tids Issue 4,556
Let's Get Started:
It’s going to be a year,
that’s for sure. No matter how hard we try, we won’t be able to avoid electioneering,
and conjecture on the impeachment that never ends. “Will Nancy release the
articles after her summer vacation?” But Americans won’t care anymore. Many will
be looking at the stock markets and wonder what keeps it going. We will worry
about militaries growing in China and Iran… and NK still making threats. And alliances
forming that don’t include us. Yet in the end, 2020 news will be pretty much
the same – about raging politics, about historic storms and global discontent. And
every visual tragedy will be centerpieces for the news. Foods will be banned
and formerly banned foods will be reinstated. People will laugh at funny
people, and they will dance spontaneously as music fills the air. There will be
intellectual, athletic and human triumphs. And lovers will kiss and babies will
see the light of their first day. Friends and family will pass to a better place
and we will remember all that they did so well on earth. And people will feel
warm together, in their homes, communicates, and find peace beyond the rhetoric.
Yes, it will be like any other year in history, where it’s all about real people
living in the era in which they are in.
And bad puns will
continue: “The store’s stock boy who was hogging all the space was being shelfish.”
So, a good guy
sent me this which I thought felt like a nice way to enter the year slowly and peacefully.
