Today's Tids Issue 4,571
Thank you, Please:
When you were two,
People loved your dimples.
When you were sixteen, you hated your pimples
Now I‘m old and just want everything simple.
In Washington
the game’s to belittle.
To inflate various ills, typically little,
From big egos that are quite brittle,
To remain in a position non-committal,
On the way to a predictable acquittal.
I think
a little whimsey is in order for today.
From what I am seeing,
the US Senate and US Congress majorities are putting each other on trial. Which
seems to mean they are most interested in securing public opinion. But the public
will probably side with whom they have always sided. And Trump will be President,
and still hated by everybody who hated him since November 9, 2016. And, he won’t
care.
The new main
talking point from Dems is “Cover Up”. It already has become shallow.
The Question:
Who are considered the Top 10 celebrity Chefs who
are most disliked? Bonus: What is Pettifogging?

The Amazon fire
was the fire of the century consuming 900,000 hectares (ha) of that rainforest,
the one that would destroy the worlds ecology system for eternity. O, wait, the California fires of 2018 were in
fact the most amazing destruction of Gods acres ever at 1,800,000 ha. Yup, those
were awful, until this current Australia conflagration that has already burned through
5,000,000 ha. That is “So Far”! (A hectare is about 2.47 acres.)
There is growing chatter between
Dems that says that if Trump is acquitted, it will be along party lines while
Clinton’s acquittal was nearly unanimous. If that’s what they want to say, it’s
ok by me. It only proves is that Repubs are more magnanimous and Dems more intolerant.
How could a
fire burn so long in a rain forest?
So far,
The Trial looks like a long, dreary class for law students.
I have to write about
the harangue because I write, but everything there is so obvious that I don’t
have to watch it. Thank God.
The consensus is
that Jeter was deserving of the Hall of Fame election – even though he was a
Ya, Ya, Ya… (Well you know who I mean.)
But I was saddened
that Shilling didn’t make it.
Some pragmatists
say that climate issues will not be changed by human habit reversal. That we should
just figure out how to deal with what will come if predictions are accurate.
The best place to eat in Germany
is a village in the Black Forest named Batersbronn, which has 8 Michelin stars –
one two-star and two three-star restaurants. Just in case you are interested.
The Answer:
This list, I should remind you, was compiled by food
writers. So that may what is behind some of these choices, many who people like.
Most disliked is Paula Dean. Next, surprisingly is Guy Fieri (Bad restaurant, Loud
voice, bad hair and bowling shirt.) #3 is Sandra Lee followed by Rachel Ray,
Bobby Flay, Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey, Lee Drummond, Eddie Huang and #10
Robert Irvine (Who can be very irritating). I should also mention that some of the
claims against these chefs are based on one-time alleged racial comments. Bonus:
Pettifogging is perhaps a good
description the current ramblings in Washington. It means: to quibble over insignificant
details; to engage in legal chicanery.
I‘m hearing
a lot of drivel,
That’s making heads swivel
Causing brains to shrivel.
Why can’t we all be civil?
Yeah, civility.
Wouldn’t that be quite the accomplishment.
