I hear that firefighters are going back to school to learn how to deal with electric Car battery fires. The big issue is water. It takes significant amounts of water to douse the electric fires, meaning rapid identification of the fire as being electric is essential. (RI for instance, has green license plates) And then there are things like a need for non-conductive nozzles so fire fighters don’t get electrocuted. This is one of the biggest items on the agenda national firefighting organizations.

I believe that with the advances in technology a lot of people believe that the need for personal responsibility is less necessary than in the past. Things will just take care of themselves. I thought of that as “two people were killed after wading out to a sandbar, as was they were overcome by the fast-incoming tide and perished in the rip between the bar and shore. It was even sadder because a 11-year-old girl was swept away and the stranger who tried to save perished too. The point here is (Maybe a stretch), just because your phone can bring you to a remote VR island, it doesn’t mean that nature can ever be beaten at its own game.

The push is on again to extend the privilege of having a driver’s license to all those who entered the country unlawfully. The ACLU is supporting rewarding wrong doers with the convoluted reasoning that it will be safer because they have to pass a driver’s test, they will have to have insurance and I they will be in an identification program. But, that is what lawyers do – convolute. Now It seems to me if they are now identifiable it would be a great opportunity to deport them. What a mess. What an insult to all the immigrants who came here legally.

 

The Answer:

Lindsay as Jamie Summers made her an American hero. The folks s loved her. As the Bionic Woman she won Best Actress Emmy in a dramatic roll in 1977. It was must TV viewing as I remember. The Irony is that in her first appearance on the The 6 Million Dollar man as a tennis player, childhood sweetheart of Bionic Man Steve Austin (Lee Majors), they had her written out of that show in a skydiving accident. But, the view response was so overwhelming that the producer found a way to bring her back into the series as the Bionic Woman. Todd Rundgren’s most important song is, “Can we still be Friends” “Anyone who has ever been in a relationship has probably heard the words at one time or another, can we still be friends? But, Rundgren took those words and through his enormous musical acuity made the words feel more real and, more painful too. But his   best-known song, and most successful, was “Hello it’s Me”.

 

Too many elected officials trying to keep campaign promises to voter, and to the blocs behind them. Wouldn’t be refreshing if when getting into their real situations, they would reprioritize according to real governmental needs. Instead of fighting windmills.
