Today's Tids Issue 4,919
Too early for Dog Days:
I can remember with delight seaside clam shacks as part of my life from those days just after the war (II) til now. But, I preferred fried bay scallops over fried clams. It’s harder to find bay scallops these days.
The ransomware Cyber crooks hit te world’s largest meatpacker yesterday. Gasoline Pipeline, meatpacker, not a patten here except perhaps people who are EV Vegetarians going after personal nemesis. But the latest attack seems more so, saying to me the thieves are continuingly probing large global institutions and corporations for soft underbellies which over time will succumb to the bombardments. In other words, we just live these days on the edge of being electronically decimated.
Did you hear about this inventor who had an inkling and went on to discover the fountain pen?
Hope you had enough of June, June, June, yesterday!
The Question:
Now in the S US Senate we have as the constitutionally mandated officers VP Kamala Harris and President Pro Tempore, Patrick Leahy. Name six Dem Party leaders and six Repub party leaders after Dem majority leader Charles Schumer ad Repub chief Mitch McConnell.

No matter what is happening in daily stock market news reports, it feels like we are just floating along on soft summer breezes. Not a panic nor a boom, but still a guessing game.
Do you notice how old people like me always say “The War”? In reality there has been about extremely bloody hostile clashes since VE, VJ days. They didn’t always call them wars but they were.
Public Relation agencies are very good at floating broad concepts into the public domain through public statements, distributed news clips, themes in books and movies, and now with programmed Social Network bombardments. Remember when “Subliminal Advertising was the big fear in the USA? Well, it is still there, but PR firms have figured out how to make it stealthier. You are always being sold something,
“On July 20, 1970, the day’s Peanuts strip featured Linus asking Lucy, “What would happen if there were a beautiful and highly intelligent child up in heaven waiting to be born, and his or her parents decided that the two children they already had were enough?” Lucy replies, “Your ignorance of theology and medicine is appalling.”
That was before RvW.
The Dems have this basic strategy of seeding thoughts in societies brains by saying something outrageous, irrational or untrue but repetition serving over and over again until formerly foreign concepts and principles normalize in people’s belief systems. So that once perhaps questionable or even anti-American ideas become Gospel. If there are any people left who know what a gospel is. Things like Patriots are bad, the entire USA and every action taking place daily is racist, and all the rich don’t care about the poor. And capitalism sucks. And all the founders were losers. One of the latest political drumbeats is, “The Republican party has lost its way, has changed radically forever and is failing.” Well, I would agree that the Repubs can be dense at times, and don’t look far enough ahead. That Repubs think they can pull it all together at the last minute and win just because they are there and are lovable. The good news for Repubs is that they seem to be fighting back for a change. Even getting out ahead on some issues. So maybe they do have a chance for survival, and with-it giving Americas strong choices. But the incessant noise from Dem operatives and the left will never cease.
I write better when music is playing in the background. Well, maybe it doesn’t read better, but it feels better to me. From time to time writers get to pamper themselves at the expense of the reader.
The Answer:
For the Dems we have Majority Whip Richard Durbin, Asst Dem Leader Patty Murry, Chair of Policy and Communications Debbie Stabenow, Vice Chairs Eliz Waren and Mark Warner, and in Descending order Vice Chairs Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, Kathrine Cortez, Joe Manchin, Cory Booker and Tammy Baldwin. On the Repub side we have as Repub Whip John Thune, Conference Chairman John Borrasso, Policy Chair Roy Blunt, Chair Policy Joni Ernst and Senatorial Committee Chair Rick Scott. Whoops, the Repubs only have five after Mitch.
It's been a nice morning talking about nothing again. But nothing is good for agita.
