Today's Tids Issue 4,996
Wrapping it up:
I think one of the biggest problems these days is that people seem to have been coerced into thinking they have to take sides, instead of listening first.
If you are ever attacked by a bunch of clowns, go for the juggler.
The Rolling Stone Magazine just put out their list of “The Greatest Songs ever written”. Ever Written? As in all of the ever written songs on Earth! That is a huge responsibility for any single person to fulfill much less a bunch of editors who must operate under the influence of some pretty narrow principles and policies of Rolling Stone Magazine. Aside from my sarcasm, the mag had a lot of help from 241 musical artists. You more than likely won’t hear that include in the top five are Tea for Two, By Light of The Silvery Moon or Three Little Words. Or even Puccini’s Un Bel Di. Number all-time greatest song ever written is R-e-s-p-e-c-t! the next four are Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power”, Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come”, Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. I notice that one of the top 15 out of 500 was the Beatles, “I love you yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!” Now, that is a real work of art.
Raising The Debt Limit is a big issue in the current beltway debate which just happens to be spilling outside to people who probably don’t understand what’s going on. But, they will take sides for sure. Increasing the debt limit does not allow the government to spend more money for things yet to come such as the $3.5 Trillion Mega give-away. No, it is raised to pay for the more money the government has already spent. In other words we are in big debt land and before even thinking about spending more we ca’t afford, we have to appear to be paying something back against old loans. Or, at least make the books look good.
The Question:
Who is the longest serving Justice on the Supreme Court?

One thing that really irks me is holdlng up people when I’m checking out in a supermarket. It’s part of my guilt heritage. You know, “Do unto others…”
Hillary Attorney Michael Sussman was indicted for lying to the FBI in the “Trump/Russia Probe”. This is the second prosecution to come out of the Dunham investigation. The thought around DC is that Dunham has a lot more to bring into the light.
It bothered me to hear that the state of Massachusetts has called out the National Guard to drive school buses. Where have all the people gone, into cocoons supported by Big Gov checks? National Guard People have real jobs too.
The USA consumer just keeps on spending. That’s the undisputed fact that will soften the angst over Covid, immigrants, Middle East, hTe Fed, and other assorted worries of the day that allow traders to trigger ups and downs in the stock markets.
You just gotta believe that the Left is just dying to have something go terribly wrong at the DC J6 rally this weekend. And the left sided media will make sure the world will hear anything negative.
Will Zoom ever recapture the sales momentum it achieved during the covid years. You got to think that any Public Relations Agency that is planting stories about the return of a stay-at-home Pandemic, that they may be working for Zoom. Or, power hungry politicians.
One of the bigger new problems today is that too many people with not too much knowledge can destroy any great American institution with concerted fierce digital attacks. I mean several hundred fourteen year old’s could wipe out the Supreme Court.
Reading Between the Lines Movie Reviews:
Could there ever be a Movie title worse than “Cry Macho”. It immediately sounds like film about an over-the-top party in a gym, or something worse. I was about the pass it over when I noticed it was directed by Clint Eastwood So it could actually be good. Except for another of my et moves peeves. It features also an annoying kid. This is about an Old guy Clint who is a former Rodeo champ living with injuries and down on his luck. He is snookered into kidnapping a boy from his mother in Mexico. (The mom also sounds a bit annoying.) He, now basically a criminal, then would have to smuggle him in. There is probably a lot of “cute” interplay between the geezer and the annoying lad, and they probably become friends. So it is rated as pretty good by one critic, but generally not so hot as an average across a broader spectrum.
--The second big film of the Week is “The Eyes of Tammy”, It’s about a woman of whom I have never had any interests. – Tammy Faye Bakker. But this might turn out to be an interesting look at the Preacher Business, and since it is produced I Godless Hollywood, not a favorable one.
--"I’m Your Man” might be a great little romantic comedy about a woman who is participating in extraordinary study where she will live with a man stranger for three weeks. But, the man is a humanoid robot designed specifically for her! It turns out to be a fun romance about relationships and love and takes a look at what it may mean to be human in a in the next modern age.
The Answer:
The longest serving justice, also the first ominee to suffer through a vicious campaign against him, Calrence Thomas. His newest warning is beware of those who want to tear down USA institutions. He would know.
Dig back and remember somebody you haven’t thought about for a while. It can be quite the comforting exercise.
Have a great weekend, E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y!!
