It seems that coaches today have to spend more time recruiting their own best players for fear of them escaping through tegh transfer portal. Sounds like Star Trek. Only in a way more eerie than SiFi.
California is experiencing new brownouts because of the heat and fires. That grid should work well when all cars only are fueled by electricity.
According to an observant reader, golfers walk 900 miles a year. A second study found that golfers drink 22 gallons of alcohol a year meaning the average of 43 miles of the gallon! They would thus qualify as hybrids keeping them safe from the green Police.
I really enjoyed “Knives Out” with Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc. So, i am really happy to see the announcement of the sequel “Glass Onion” set for a premiere on Netflix in December. It’s something to look froward to. Old people need things to look forard to.
In Peanuts”, Marci asks Charlei Brown, “Do all fairy tales start with ‘Once upon a time”? Charlie says, “No, most of them begin, ‘If I’m elected, I premise.” (Thanks to a brighter than average reader.)
Serena Willaims got her due adulation following her match with the tough and resilient Ajia Tomjanovich. But she never once mentioned ow well the younger woman played. She was good with the rest of her thank you words, but so was Ajia who was eloquent in her praise of a women paler she admired, and in her proper respect for Serena's achievements. I actually thought Ajia was rather amazing on and off the court.
If a company says they will give you a free app, I always think, how are they making money off me and how much of my personal life are they are they stealing. To me, privacy is far more important than convenience.
It is amazing how Althea Gibson has been forgotten. Now her story of valor in overcoming racist attitudes is humongous. As is her story of overcoming a brutal father, so brutal that she had to be taken out of her home at a young age. Yet she made herself into a tennis player of note without all of the coaching coddling of today. Some say perhaps she the greatest player of all time. She paved the way for Arther Ashe. She was indeed the Jackee Robinson of tennis. Now, the Althea Gibson story would make a stunning, emotional movie.
BTW, in a poll among regular people asking for the greatest female tennis players in the modern era, the top five were Steffie, Serena, Chris E, Martina H and Martina N.
Thanks, but no thanks, would be my answer if I was asked to take a ride on the new rocket for Artemis. Maybe they should call the guy who fixed my icemaker.

BTW, Margaret Court holder of the all-time Grand Slam Victory total record, said after the match, that she doubts that Serena even knows who she is. Margaret is now a Minister in Australia and does lots of good works.
The Answer:
Number one is Drew Barrymore who is followed by Emma Watson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Reese Witherspoon, Dakota Fleming, Christina Ricci, Judy Garland, Neil Patrick Harris, Daniel Radcliff and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Personally, Judy Garland, like her or not, was genuine super star in her musical movies after her child accomplishments. Opie, Ron Howard, was 29th. I guess if you include his accomplishments as a director, he would be higher.
Today is a time to relax, period. I wouldn't even be reading this mess if I was you.
