Gimmie some Pom-Poms.

Today's Tids Issue 5,306

Cyber is king:

One who has no doubts and fears has no heart with which to love. Just a thought.

The potential great benefit of global warming is that it could open up more lands to annual agricultural activities and help solve growing food problems. God works in mysterious ways.

These China protests calling for the removal of Xi and an end to Covid Zero are big deal, primarily because of the courage shown by protestors in a land where freedom is at a minimum. The government there is probably spending a lot of time figuring out how to make them go aways without looking like the heart;ess society they seem to have become.

The Question:

Originally, Charles Schultz brought out “Peanuts” with another title but was forced to scrap it due ot legal complications. What was the original title. Bonus: Approximately how many individual strips did Schultz produce in his lifetime

I guess that Trevor Lawrence is the real thing after all.

There should be some pretty good singing tonight on The Voice. It’s serious pare down time with the favorites now seeming to be Parijita, Bodie, Omar, Morgan, Justin, and yes, Bryce Leatherwood. Leatherwood is all classic country, and The Voice audience has always loved country best. But a possible hooker there is that Morgan Myles is pretty great country too. My personal favorite is Parijita Bastola.

Today is Cyber Monday. They will really have to perform because cyber sales on Balck Friday were by far the best single cyber sales day in history. I think perhaps the cyber thing is the new normal.

Last week sometime I wrote that I always get a good laugh out of “Peanuts” each morning. Then, I was happy to see on Saturday that most of the nation's cartoonists paid tribute to that great creative mind on his 100th birthday. Was Charles Schultz the greatest cartoonist ever? Could be. Happiness is Charles Schultz.

I love happy Michigan fans. The Wolverines played a really intelligent, tough game. It’s a win-win for all of us who love a great marching band and classic fight song. But not so much loved by the NCAA playoff mahoffs who probably would sell their first child to have OSU in the mix. It will be interesting to see how they may pull some strings to rationalize that final scenario.

Let's face it, the US congress has been befuddled many times over the years, but right now today I think they are in more of a stupor than ever trying to figure out Crypto Currency and what to do with it.

Andy Rooney tells us that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

The Answer:

“Litle Folks” was the title of the strip on day one. Schultz never liked that title “Peanuts”, feeling it had no dignity. Bonus: The man produced about 18,000 strips. He was an incredibly hard worker and never hired an assistant. Hee tool one vacation... to celebrate his 75th anniversary.

How about a little good ole fashioned college sprit to get the day going.
